Dead in the center of an island is a rabbit. The distance from the rabbit to the shore in every direction is six feet. How many steps and/or hops will the rabbit take to reach the shore?
None. How can he? The rabbit is dead.
Yes. Yes, he is. Because I shot him.
Yeah. I've heard a lot of riddles in my short time on this planet (figuratively speaking, of course), and that's one the darker ones I've heard.

What has ears but can't hear, eyes but can't see, skin but no blood, and arms but no hands?
[sup]I've got another clue if this turns out to be completely unfair.[/sup]
I have no idea on this one, though.

Corn, potatoes, more potatoes, and trees. All of which is likely wrong, but this riddle requires a wild stab.

Close enough, you were supposed to come up with "a garden".

What man loves more than life
Fears more than death or mortal strife
What poor men have, the rich acquire
And all contented men desire
What misers spend and the wastrels save
And each man carries to his grave?

Nothing.

A man is driving down the street. His headlights are off, and the streetlights above him are off. A black cat crosses the road in front of him. The man stops to let the cat cross. How did he see the cat?

It's daytime.

Another riddle...

I stand beside the holy man
The monarchs fear my wrath
None may move the way I can
Ever the crooked path
