In a room with only 2 exits are two guards, of which one will always tell the truth, and one will always lie, and you do not know which is which. One exit leads to certain death, the other to freedom. You may ask ONE guard ONE question. What do you ask to guarantee your freedom?

Any number of questions.

"What is the colour of your skin?"
"Are you male or female?"
"Can you disembowel yourself right now, please?"

If it's just one question, period it's "Would you please open your door and not the other guard's?" If the guard is the liar, a similar principle can be applied if you ask him to do something. He will go down the other path just to spite you. It doesn't matter which door he opens, if he dies take the other door. If he survives, you're in the clear.

OT:Your in a hospital,the electricity is off in one room there are murderers with knives who will cripple you but wont kill you,and in the other lunatics who will put you in an electric chair,witch will kill you instantly,what room do you enter?

despite having no motivation to enter either room, i'll assume i have to enter one, and that i don't want to die, obviously the room with the lunatics. the power's out, so the leccy chairs won't work.

Not necessarily. Unstoppable does not mean you can't redirect it.

By redirecting it you would be stopping it from going in a certain direction therefore making it stoppable.

I believe the original is irresistible force, and anyway if you redirect it you are changing the nature of the force as F=ma and a is a vector quantity.
