There is always a reason behind a decision, even if that reason is based in lack of choice or application of apathy. Someone who prefers '2d' women over '3d' women have made this choice and are clearly aware of it, if they insist to say that anime styled human females are better than real human females.
Is there an actual substantial question regarding which could be considered better? The anime human female to the real human female?
I dont think such a question is valid, comparing a fictional being without sentience and intellectual autonomy to have an independent impact on the world, to a real human female that has the potential for both sentience and intellect to impact the world, is horribly petty.
Indeed, asserting that a fake female is better than a real female is similar to saying that chalk tastes better than cheese. Believe me, you do not want to be eating chalk.
But it all comes down to the assertions being made and the reasons behind them. These reasons may be as petty as the assertion itself, or they may be far more detailed and personal than one could concieve.
Making the assumption yourself that such people with such beliefs are sick and should be avoided, or they should seek help, can only impact your connections to such people. So, if the reason behind someone making the assertion that fake females are better than real females, was because they didn't want to deal with ~your~ ugly mug, then congratulations, you've been manipulated into thinking negatively about the person who made the assumption and they will most likely let you now maintain their little facade, untill they get an actual girlfriend and make you look like an idiot.
Then you get examples of people seen in this very thread, who'll gleefully mention the gene pool in counter-productive ways. Yay.
