Something which has been amusing me lately. Guys saying that they prefer 2D girls to their 3D counterparts.

Lately? The 2D over 3D movement has been there since the 80s and was massive and well knows by the 90s.

They have a sound(ish) philosophy and doctrine, which most people know shit about and just make fun of it. I would agree with them, but sex just better with 2.

That article saying how people don't find things "icky" when they're actually doing it could explain it all. People who haven't experienced things could think about it too much and find it hard to relate to when they view pornography, so anything "icky" is highighted.

Now I'm not having a go, I don't mind that you feel that way, I just want to know why some people consider real life girls pig disgusting. Of course you have to deal with all the smells and fluids of a real girl no matter how much perfume they use, whereas it's completely optional with 2D girls whether or not you want to imagine they have any body fluids or unpleasant smells.

Maybe part of the problem is holding the ideal girl on a pedestal as a completely sanitary, angelic creature who does not poop, does not breathe, does not have any of the human bodily functions that a male has. Are there any more reasons?

Yes technically, but the one on the left is a 2D photograph of a real flesh and blood 3D person, whereas the one on the right is a 2D image of a 2D animated fictional character. It's really kinda sad that I have to point that out.

Well while i wouldn't go as far as saying as "2d girls > RL 3d ones" but it is a fact many prefer not to be confronted with certain things of RL. It's like your parents or grand parents sexlife, you know it exists but would you seriously want grand daddy to say how hard he shagged grandma?! It's the same with a lot of guys and women farting, shitting, etc. There are certain things people would rather not be confronted with. And tbh i am 100% sure there are women who are like that too. I think a lot of women would rather like men to fart or shit somewhere where they don't have to hear/see/smell it.

And the advantage with "2D" is that you aren't confronted with all those nasty aspects of RL. (but than again, you miss on a lot of good stuff with 2D too)

In all seriousness, those "guys" who say that probably spend way too much time in their heads (and probably in their bedrooms)indulging copious amounts imaginary self-satisfaction.

Do that long enough and actual women start to loose their luster. After all, the "2D" girl is available any time, does what she's told and is never slob.

But ultimately, reality...warts and all...is just better than fantasy because it's, y'know, real.

That is exactly why it needs to be a movement about it. Having a relation with a 2D girl is just a sexual preference, I have friends who do and totally understand their logical and aestetic reasons. Never went that way myself because boobs and other stuff are WAY too fun.

As for the reality of the relationship. Any decent use of philosophy of science will tell you that you also don't love a real girl when you have a relationship, but the idea of her, because reality is not comprenhesible for humans. The only difference is that loving a girl and a 2D anime is that in one instance your love is based on a person (with a body you can interact with) or a 2D image (sadly without one).

I didn't say they should 'get out of the gene pool'. I'm fine with it existing. I'm just saying that it would be catastrophic for the human race if this were a widespread view, and by happy coincidence, the very nature of it prevents that from happening. Homosexuals are generally still fine with humans being human, and can have babies by IVF. Being repulsed because of something that is intrinsically human is an obstacle to reproduction that cannot be overcome by technology. Also, it is *losers and *otaku. Japanese words do not need to be plural.

Ohh, that was a bit ambiguous then. The "out of the gene pool" usually has a very bad connotiation AFAIK, like saying they should just dissapear or looking down on them. Glad to see the clarification.

As for otaku, i was using it as an english word, as it is already in dictionaries, but yeah, you way it's better and more elegant and i suck at english.

a 2D girl cannot interact with you on the same complex level a real person can, its pretty much a "wilson from castaway" situation...its not the same and I doubt it gives the same level of "love chemicals in your brain that are good for you" or whatever
