I don't mind shipping so much. If you can ship the most unlikly pairing in the history of ever and make it believable you are one talented writer. But anyway, fanfic ships are non-cannon, and that's fine as long as they stay 'wouldn't it be interesting if' rather than 'OMG they're are so canon!'

Hmm . . . what would happen if you made Lesbian couples?
He would either be viewed as a disgusting pig who "just wants to see 2 girls kiss" or hear more ranting/raving about why/why not those were make a good couple. I would bet on the first possibility there. I'm glad I don't have that problem.

How about - develop a ticker skin and learn to care a lot less about what people think of your likes/dislikes?

And while I do understand that it can be a pain to have people in your circle of friends chat on about things you neither like not agree with, you can learn to not let it bother you (and a big shout out and apology to one of my housemates - I love you to bits hun but sometimes you sound like the teacher characters in Charlie Brown to me...)

Hmmm....Huntress and Black Canary...with Oracle providing the gag-ball for B.C. (cuz if she's a screamer, mood pretty much killed)

Sadly however, yaoi fangirls are not generally known for having a good grasp on reality. They readily ship any two male characters as if they were canon, and in their heads, they may as well be. =/

Clearly the OP isn't familiar with rule #34. If a little superhero yaoi is getting to him, he should disconnect from the internet immediately and permanently before he runs across one of the many eyeball-searing, childhood-destroying images it has to offer. I've seen some things on that there interwebs. Terrible, terrible things.
