I heard that he had originally planned on 9 total movies. Though I doubt I'll be watching them. I've grown tired of Star Wars.

I just crushed thousands of star wars fanboy dreams by providing a single link.

yay me.
And saved countless more of those fan-boys dreams.

Just let Bioware do it and give George Lucas some rubber bands to play with. Then everything will fall into place. Seriously, the Old Republic cinematics are beautifully well done and should be made into a feature film.

George, give the pilot script to Peter Jackson and let him take care of the rest (also give him a very big budget)

Prequels were better, if it keeps going in the same direction this next one will be even better.
Wait, what? Prequel > Original? *DOES NOT COMPUTE*

Anyways, if LucasFilm plans to release the first part sometime around '15, then John Williams need to start writing the music like, NOW. He's 78. He might kick the bucket in a few years, and let's face it: Star Wars without John Williams? Yeah, didn't think so.

for me there is a 7 8 and 9 there called the jedi knight trilogy. remake them release them again and say their canon if you realy want to make them than make kyle one of the charaters if not the main charater.my problem with the prequels was anakin who was not even close to how i tought anakin was gonna look.still you might make them good if not then theres always the best star wars game of all time jedi knight 2 jedi outcast.

I imagine that this is linked to Lucas's new massive animation studio in Singapore, which is devloping a "top secret" animated film directed by Lucas

Sorry, but I'm done with Star Wars. The franchise died when Lucas started treating more like an advertisement for a toy line than, you know, a story. And there's nothing wrong with making toys based on these movies, mind you, but you have to make the interesting characters and situations for them to be in FIRST. That's what makes the toys so appealing in the first place! If we just get another batch of generically good heroes and generically evil villains then there won't be any reason to care about any of it.

Also, Avatar is overrated.

boo ya. our one during the mandalorian wars, or one about the old sith empire. shit why dose he have to make more movies that go into the future. why not on about the 25,000 years of back story.

I am at least tentatively excited if this is true. Also, someone needs to just start pretending that the last five years of the Expanding Universe novels didn't happen, at all. Then I might start remembering why I liked Star Wars.

I'm serious though, forget the Yuuzhan Vong and everything in Legacy of the Force, then I might start buying your glorified fanfiction again.

I just can't bring myself to see this as good news. I think Lucas has proven himself to be pretty bad at things other than prequels. One of the things he has shown is that when he does not use Skywalkers in his Star Wars universe, he tends to fill the void with ewoks and intolerably cutesy little girls.

Lucas can go to hell ever since he retconed Mandalorians into a bunch of pacifistic wimps just cause of a stupid TV cartoon.
