... Huh... what to think... what to think...
The original triligy was great mostly a great deal to the fact that GEORGE LUCAS WASN'T REALLY THE DIRECTOR. The only one he did officially direct was a New Hope, and he had his wife do a lot of the work and had to completely recut the entire movie. The second and third, he was no where in sight of the director's chair, he had two other directors work their magic.
When we got him in the director's chair, we got the prequels. Nobody could say "hay, I think this is a stupid idea" since he wrote, funded, and directed the entire thing. What does he plan to do with sequels?
If he makes direct sequels, he will have to deal with all of this crap: http://www.cracked.com/article/167_5-reasons-star-wars-sequels-would-be-worse-than-prequels/
He would have to set it thousands of years afterwards, at which point it really loses all conection to the other six films...
Uhh...
Why does Star Wars have to keep making money? When can the new material come to an end and the rerereleases stop? Can't we all just peacefully remember the first three films where the only bad film was that Holiday special we don't talk about anymore?
