Let me tell you something kids: Weed, acid and cocaine fueled the first trilogy he made, and that trilogy changed storytelling for two decades. Chai lattes, white guilt and mortgages fueled the second, and that trilogy couldn't change my pants. I think my point should be easy to see.

I really don't see this happening. Lucas is too old to start destroying his franchises once again. And he did have plans for a third triology, but the fans have already told that story. It's gonna be impossible to not fuck up the canon and still make it in any way relevant to the original triology.
That said, I'd still watch it if it came out. It's star wars!

The long-awaited Star Wars VII through IX, could it be?? On the one hand, I always felt it was a real shame the 'trilogy of trilogies' never got finished. On the other hand, after Star Wars I, II and III, I'm not sure these new movies would be done better.. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Call me cautiously optimistic for now.

I more or less agree. He's got ideas, but he's to busy trying to stuff his stories with as much as can at the cost of interesting dialogue and plot. They don't have to be amazing, George. Just good fun, that's all I ask.

I think the larger issue is his placing profit above narrative and setting.
I mean his desire to make money from toys and such may have improved Return of the Jedi, but it's what's made the latest movies so flashy and shallow.

Well I don't know how to react...I'm sort of between "YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS THANK YOU LORD I LOVE EVERYTHING" and "Oh God not again", the "Oh God..." fear comes from the fact if this is true, yippe but I don't want them to screw it up!

I'd love to see a Knights of the Old Republic trilogy with Zayne Carrick !

It's all good. I don't mind. I watched all the Star Wars movies for the first time this year, watching them from I through VI. Actual favorite order being III as the best, then V, IV, VI, II, I.
