tbh even of they are crap i will still watch them out of a blind sense of hope, but he better not touch my beloved KotOr series because if he ruins that it will be time for agressive negotiations...

but in general the prequels lacked the human element that made the originals good...especially episode 2. Episode 1 had the human element, episode 3 had good plot and overall lack of cheese...if he can combine his best parts of the prequel trilogy in the new films we'll be awesome

God those prequels were awful. Bad acting, terrible dialogue, plot holes galore, cutting away from action scenes just when action begins which totally destroys the pacing........ everything wrong with cinema making is included in those films.
I completely agree with the people who realize its because the original trilogy was made when Lucas wasnt a big name and wasnt surrounded by sycofantic suck-ups. He had people like Harrison Ford who said "You cant say crappy lines like this, its stupid" and people even taking the directing role off of him like in the best movie, Empire Strikes Back.
Lucas himself has even admitted in interviews that he is crap at writing dialogue i think the line in the interview was "its definitly not my strongest attribute".
I just cant understand why the man is so blatantly self-aware that he has a flaw in his talent-array, has so much cash, and yet doesnt HIRE a writer to work with to put his ideas into better focus and more quality.
He hires people to do the bleedin' special effects, and the costumes... he could do all those himself too but he isnt good at it. So why do the dialogue yourself when you're no good at that either? He's created the universe and the story, its not like people will say he's selling out because he's -only- co-writing it.... hell... its not like people will say he ever sold IN hehe.
I said after the prequels he'd make episodes 7-9, because he once said he originally planned out nine films, and with that fact and then the knowledge he'll sell his grandmother to make more cash than he'll ever need (like Star Wars - the Musical, and Star Wars - the soon and up coming COMEDY).... episodes 7-9 were ALWAYS going to be on the horizon at some point.
Oh he'll claim "the technology has caught up" to do them, or "it'll expand the story to its true meaning"...... but we all know why its coming.

Please let Lucas die before he does this. He's got a bad habit of changing canon already and the post-Empire books (most of them) are extremely good and worth big screen connections. If he decides to reboot/retcon this stuff its kind of a slap in the face to all the people who worked on the Expanded Universe titles and the fans who bought the hell out of those books. (Bungie I am looking at you, *cough* Reach *cough*)
I have no strong feelings one way or the other towards the idea of new movies.
To the idea of the fans I have only the strong emotion of: Now those whinny complaining assholes are going to start at it again, of why cant they just shut the fuck up the little pricks and learn how idiotic and stupid there whinny prattling is. What the hell do they there going to do? get a fucking apology letter? What the hell would that do? What is the point of this? Why wont you bastards shut the hell up?! SHUT THE HELL UP, YOU LITTLE PRICKS!
