Honestly after reading the post my interest died when it said "you will gain Exp..." sorry but when did modern fps games really need to be lead by the nose of this. In RPG's I can understand, hell I cherish the times I played Disgaea (one) and developed muscle memory from that certain level, but surely not every game needs this. I don't mean to troll but I can't be the only one that thinks this? Can I? Love to hear anyone elses opinions on this
i can see how it works in FPS online games, because you unlock weapons as you go along etc. but for a single player FPS, it shouldn't and doesn't happen, and a game like this i agree with you, gaining xp is kinda stupid here.
i see gaining xp as 2 things, an unlock of certain weapons, or an upgrade of your choice of skills. so for certain weapons, online it is done via levels, wheras single player it can be achieved simply by just finding the weapons somewhere in the level, so xp is kinda useless in that sense for this game
and to upgrade skills, well i'm just not sure it will feel ANYTHING like resident evil, aside from the ffact it has the big brand logo stuck on it. i mean, there's only 1 approach to zombies, kill them. therefore no matter how you shape it, you will be leveling up some way to kill it. however fallout had levling up difffernt skills, because you could use each skill in what method you like (science skill to hack turrets to turn on your enemy, or weapon skill to face problems head on) so again, i'm struggling to see how xp would fit into this category either =\
i'll keep an eye on this, but overall i'm more excited about the resi 4 re-release ^^
