Rumor: PS3 Version of Mass Effect 2 Includes DLC, New Mission [UPDATED]

I hope they release the "choose your Mass Effect 1" option on the 360.

That's actually one of the things I don't like about ME2, I like to go into ME2 with a set of circumstances from ME1, and it sucks to have to go through ME1 thoroughly

My guess is that it's the second of 2 dlc planned to branch mass effect 2 to 3. Lair of the Shadow Broker being the first.
I highly doubt they would create 6 hours of content for mass effect 2 and just leave the other platforms out of it.. as they have a love for the mass effect universe, and would want everyone to experience it =P

It's an interractive comic kind of like Dead Space: Ignition.

OT: Well good to see PS3 players getting a great series ^_^ I hope the mission isn't exclusive though so I can play it when I finally get round to downloading all the DLC...

i think its the same dlc everyone gets through cerberous network but i may be wrong, and if you want to try paid DLC i recomend katsumi,overlord,shadow broker, and i beleave its the assault pack that comes with the matlock rifle(sniper rifle with no scope is the best discription ive found for it

OT: Are you seriously telling me that all the DLC together is only worth 6 hours? Bah, screw that. I might get ME2 one day, but if I can get the vanilla version without the DLC for cheaper, then I'll just go for that.

Not really, honestly its fair, I mean PS3 owners have to wait a whole year before getting 2 when PC/360 already got it. They also missed out on Mass Effect 1 becuase Microsoft own's the right to it.

You are good friend however, why should the PS3 owners get all of the DLC at probably a $60 price while those who first got it had to pay upwards of 70

Um... Because you got it when it FIRST came out, while ps3 owners are getting it ages later? That's like complaining "Why should ppl be able to buy ps3's for $250 when I paid $500 for my launch system".

Well when they announce no more DLC for Mass Effect 2, I'm going to go out, buy a hellton of Microsoft points then buy it all.

I just can't be bothered to keep going back for a couple of hours every few months, so I'll wait for it all.

I know nothing about the Mass Effect storyline at all but this is one of the two games that really make me want an Xbox360 (the other being Limbo).

If you actually read the post in the forums, it has been edited to say that the DLC is not actually "new" or "exclusive." It just says that the DLC that all 360 and PC owners had to pay for will be on the PS3 version for free.

Oh get over it. It's a perfectly valid business move, not a "douche bag" move. It's not like they've got a personal quip against every PS3 owner, they're just out to make money just like Sony is.


Also, sounds great for PS3 owners. I hope us PC owners get the DLC too...

I've had like three people not realise I was pointing fun at the hypocrisy of calling Microsoft out for not porting Mass Effect 1 when Sony has its own goldmine of franchises that it would fight to the end before letting go of.
