If this DLC is only to fill them in on the backstory of the first Mass Effect, I doubt there's any reason for fanboys to be smug since they get a cut down version of great game.
you forgot to say "for free"Wieke said:Hopefully the rest of us can get the new mission as DLC.
Because they've waited a year or so for only one half of an already established franchise, and it would work as a form of compensation for waiting?deonte9109 said:D:< This is bull. Why should the PS3 owners get special treatment? at the very least BioWare should give some of the DLC free to PC and Xbox users.
Oh c'mon, are we still going through that? Let's put this in perspective;this isnt my name said:Fuck this, this is bullshit, great work BW give PS£ players special treatment, fuck it im not buying ME3, give them the game fine, but im not getting less content and paying more just because I play on a fucking xbox.
*flame shield* If Sony had either did their work before hand or presented itself as a viable system when BW made ME1 then we wouldnt be in this situation. And besides thats still unfair why should those who came after the fame glory and attention get it cheaper. If anything the price should go uptwistedheat15 said:Um... Because you got it when it FIRST came out, while ps3 owners are getting it ages later? For the exact reason you said, it came "AFTER THE FAME, GLORY, AND ATTENTION" When something is popular it's high priced, when ppl stop caring about it the price drops. It's like getting a wii when it first came out and was like searching for a unicorn in game stores. No matter where you went for months you couldn't find it. Now talking about a wii just brings lulz as everything including the stray cat grandma takes care of has one. Weather Sony shoulda presented itself better in the first place, MS just bought time exclusive rights doesn't matter because they're getting the game a year after the others. Even if they get something extra, I'm sure most woulda glady given it up to have gotten a same time release. And the extra stuff could be nothing more then an advance intro mission since they're still getting fcked over by not getting ME1. It's just pointless bitching for the sake of pointlessly bitching.deonte9109 said:*flame shield* If Sony had either did their work before hand or presented itself as a viable system when BW made ME1 then we wouldnt be in this situation. It would most likely be a timed exclusive, like how Fallout 3 and New Vegas DLC, the GTA DLC, and Call of Duty DLCs have been on the 360. Just puttin' it in perspective here.Tarakos said:*sigh* If the PS3 gets an exclusive 6-hour mission, then, as a huge ME fan, I'll have to get that version too. I hope it'll find its way onto the 360 in a short timespan. But that interactive comic sound pretty cool, especially if it's a way to make ME1 decisions.

Thanks for that bit of information. I thought they'd pretty much solidified the story to ME3 by the time ME2 was released but I guess that was not the case.mad825 said:nay, the story in-between ME2 and ME3 isn't finished and there are more story/plot related DLC coming (don't know how many though)Programmed_For_Damage said:I'm thinking this will be Mass Effect 2: Game of the Year Edition, which is like what Bethesda did with Fallout 3: GotY Edition. I mean it's pretty much lock to get Game of the Year.
lol nothing personal man but anyone who usees $ to replace s i consider a troll. every time i see someone do that i have to ask the question do they hate when people make a profit? It is standard practice in the gaming industry for ports/remakes to be spiced up with extra content in order to entice gamers to purchase it. This is particularly important nowadays, since multiple-platform ownership is common among core gamers. As such, BioWare must give people every reason they can to purchase the PS3 version.Hardcore_gamer said:I still don't get it why they can't just port the original Mass Effect over to the PS3, instead of creating entire new sections for Mass Effect 2 that the Xbox and PC players will miss out on.
This guy said it;Jumplion said:You just sortof answered your own question, did you not? Since the Ps3 isn't getting the first Mass Effect, being published by Microsoft n' all, there needs to be some sort of compensation for the year and a half or so of waiting for the 2nd game to be ported. And how would it be "two separate storylines"? It's the same storyline, just told in a different way because the PS3 isn't getting the original Mass Effect.Hardcore_gamer said:I still don't get it why they can't just port the original Mass Effect over to the PS3, instead of creating entire new sections for Mass Effect 2 that the Xbox and PC players will miss out on. Not to mention that creating what now appear to be 2 separate story line for different versions of the game is not a good idea at all.
Not to mention that no amount of new content will make up for the fact that they releasing a sequel to the PS3 without releasing the original.
But whatever, awesome for PS3 owners, though I am probably going to get Mass Effect for my PC if it's for sale on STEAM some time.
