That's only registered users though no? WOW has 12 million monthly active users so it's different and not a comparable statistic. Some of the social networking gaming companies and getting close to these numbers.

Also you can't really compare WoW to RS that much. it's like comparing doom to call of duty, they're in the same genre but have so much differences.

I like how less than a tenth are still active. Plus, to make a new character you have to make a new account so I'm pretty sure at least every person has about 3 accounts.

Either way, that's still pretty impressive.

My cousin LOVES runescape, but only on the members.
He gets bored with Free2Play.

Congrats...I think. but like everyone else says, no one really plays anymore...or started really unless you count an hour of nothing better to do then they have almost all 105 million right there. Check the log times of each account. I bet on average it would be a week each(balancing the freaky Runescape is my life now' gamers with the 'what's this game?Oh, a shitty MMO? Bye' gamers)

That is pretty impressive. They have that many people who play the game or have played it in the last six months. I will give them credit because if an account is inactive for six months they delete it.
Now I am curious about this mech thing though, since I've never heard of it.

This, Seriously it's true, It may very well be the most boring MMO ever, if you can actually call it a MMO, It's Graphical Update was hardly a change at all and lets face it, back in the day what would you rather play, Ultima Online or Runescape?, Or better yet go outside and play with your friends, lets face it MMO's weren't the best back then due to Hardware Difficulties back then, Oh the lag of Ultima, I feel sorry for some of my MMO Ancestors...lol.

What the hell? Are all the responses to this thread just saying "I hate Runescape! It sucks! Grrr!" Jackasses. It isn't necessary to flame something just because you "grew out of it". Can we take away 100 million for it being shite? (In my opinion) I played it for like three days and felt so alienated by the players. The combat was silly. The upgrade system is no fun. I don't know, just not a very excited or compelling game.

Impressive fanbase... when it comes to numbers, when it comes to anything else the fanbase is completely useless. I hate to admit it but one of those accounts is mine.
Edit: useless as in composed half of bots and jerks who just want your stuff.

That's harsh also the hit block system is only like a step behind most MUMORPUGER's combat systems. This is coming from someone who is not fond of the Scape of Runes.
