Salt Lake is less then half Mormon these days and has a several thriving subculture including one of the most active punk scenes out of all the larger cities I have been to. The only really enjoyable part of living in Utah was that every band I liked made a stop in SLC.

Any way just wanted to say Salt Lake is alright, the rest of the state is fair game for those jokes.

Every time they try to sell Homefront I feel less inclined to buy it. Oh wow Salt Lake City is bombed! I don't even know where that is. If they told me it was in Canada I'd believe it.

I'm Brazilian and you can only reply with information I should know about Salt Lake City if your post also includes at least twice as much information about Campinas, along with your non-wikipedia sources.
Yeah, this is a really terrible premise to sell to foreigners, at least in COD:MW they had Brits running around so there was at least some appeal to non-Americans, but there's nothing in this game for them.

I'm going to be very disappointed if you can't play as the KPA on the SP. Call me a monster but I like seeing the US getting it's ass handed to them (on a videogame......mostly :p).
In this game, AFAIK the US has had their ass handed to them and you are the resistance, finally fighting back.

*cough* *cough* *cou-[small]GOOD RIDDANCE[/small]-gh* *cough*

Oh, I do apologize. I was out in some foul weather the other day and it appears to have given me quite the cough.

I must say, that map thing really gave me chills. Not sure why, but damn son.

Now I may get this game. I hope its actually good. I really do. Please let it be good...

Gah... I love the idea, the story. But the game just looks like such a CoD-wannabe from the gameplay footage. It looks too over-the-top.

I wish there was a game where you're a revolutionary that plays believably.

So, uh . . . what's the state of the east coast? That seems like a pretty important region to discount. Our birth cities of Boston and Philly, our capital, and New York all seem important enough to give passing mention to, at least.

I think that line of nuke symbols means the entire east coast was nuked.

I "think"

I believe that the east and west are cut off due to the mississippi river being highly radiated so the east is having trouble helping out the occupied west coast.

No, the Mississippi River area was nuked all the way to Canada. The east is cut off by this wall of pure radiation but I want to know what's up with it. Is it still America? Is it occupied? Is it a collection of states under a dictatorship getting bossed around by Goddamned Rhode Island? I want to know.

I think the states on the east coast are still trying to get their priorities together after the massive emp blast.

...Why nuke the Mississippi?
Seriously. The North Koreans didn't seem to have their priorities straight. They seemed to focus their attack on the Midwest. If any hostile nation had the capacity to nuke us without the fear of M.A.D., I think it's a safe bet they'd go for the northeast and California first, then everything else.

Shouldn't the fallout have wiped out the east coast though?
Probably, but it also probably should have wiped out most of the west, too, almost to the coastal states, and it doesn't seem to have done that.

Don't worry! We can still make fun of the South!
