Good question: Come to think of it, can the Power Suit be worn piecemeal at all? I know it's bio-mechanical in nature, but can those pieces work individually with the wearer, or is it an all or nothing affair? If that's the case, wearing just the metal shell without the connective biological feedback would just be strapping heavy metal boots, lowering agility and potentially putting a lot of strain on her knees.Snotnarok said:Can you, in anyway tell me any advantage she has with these heels over salvaging her boots from her power armor? They're preequipped with double/higher jumping, are made of metal and can kick harder, and don't have the negative effects of heels: Lower grip, higher risk of breaking an ankle, lower balance.
Don't get me wrong, I really dig that sketch and I wouldn't have complained if Nintendo had done something similar. We both knopw the "real" reason she's not wearing any part of the Power Armor is because it undermines Nintendo's stance that "Zero Suit Samus" and "Power Suit Samus" are different playable characters. After all, if Zero Suit Samus wore the boots, why not the blaster? And at that point, what obvious difference does she have from the Power Armor Samus from either a design or a play-style standpoint? It'd literally just be Samus with her body exposed, and that would feel like rather shameless pandering by comparison, rather than giving players more canonical options.
Besides, we're ultimately arguing about the practicality of rocket boots. In a franchise where Kirby can fight Solid Snake. Don't know if this is a fight either side can really win.
