two of them were good.
Episode two is let down by poor storytelling, awful acting, and unconvincing effects.
Episode three has some down moments (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, etc) but really is about as good a film as the orignals.
Episode one had a crappy child actor (jake lloyd) and natalie portman was still pre-talent (yes, face it, shes a good actress now. I still dont like her, but credit where its due) but otherwise the movie is solid. Excellent effects, and a soft story to set up the action.
THE STAR WARS FILMS ARE (with the possible exception of episode five) TERRIBLE MOVIES. They are only as good as their effects and whether you are willing to accept what happens on screen as entertainment.
I'm sick of people saying that the prequels suck, because they really dont, except episode two.
Yes, jarjar and the ewoks are stupid, but they work in the setting.
And this bullshit about jarjar being racist is plain idiocy. Why, because of that stupid "meesa, yoosa, weesa" crap? what black people do you think talk like that? Maybe you're trying to say it sounds like "yessah massa" and other blackface-era negroisms? it doesnt. It sounds like a stupid way to make the character sound non-human.
The only legitimate complaint anyone can register against the prequels is that they aren't as imaginative as the originals, but even then, bugfuck crazy lucas was already imagining his ridiculous cartoon world in the seventies, he just didn't know how to make it.
