You sir, have given me a brilliant idea for my 18th party.
I do not believe anything shall top that idea. EVER.
Lol, just imagine making it the last level where you have to escape with the Warthog.

I actually got this idea from the guy who compared driving game drunk and real drunk in GTA IV.
Oh, Jesus Christ almighty. Do NOT remind me of either situation.
Warthog = friend with RL blowing us up :|
GTA IV drunk driving = Lost more health being hit by cars than driving one......

I too refused to go to my prom because I absolutely despised all the right-wing, xenophobic, borderline militantly religious people that I was in the same class as (p.s., I also skipped my actual graduation).

Anyway, I would suggest doing ******* and ******* and **************************************************** with whipped cream on top.

Maybe you aren't going to "your" kind of parties.

A rave party may not be your kind of party, but a LAN party may be.
There's only one kind of party that's my kind of party.

A POLITICAL party?

Sir, you disgust me.

I'll bet you right now, someone is bound to say "Chief Master" with a straight face (bet you can't do it now; I know I can't).

The Halo drinking game sounds promising and is probably the easier of your two current ideas to put into action. Shouldn't take long to pass out if your going to do it on legendary.
Yeah, I was thinking about hooking up 3 360s and TVs, then seeing who can last the longest. :D
What kind of liquor were you planning on for the shots (proof%) and how many stages do you think it'll take before keeping a tally of shots taken goes right out the window (and possibly thrown right onto the carpet).
Umm... I don't know?

I just had the idea, really. I didn't actually, godforbid, think it all the way through.

I've decided not to go my senior prom, seeing as how a) the people in my school talk about the post-prom party without any supervision, b) I'm sure I can think of better ways to spend $180 to celebrate the end of high school, and c) prom isn't very important to me.

So my friends and I have decided to set up a "Screw Prom Budget", with each of us contributing what would be our prom fee ($180). Since there's about 5-6 of us, we have about $900.

Escapists, give me suggestions on how to spend this money for an epic end-of-high-school-blow-out.

I'm thinking about making some hash-brownies, getting some alcohol, having a slip-and-slide/water-gun fight at my park at night, followed by using the rest for bail the following morning.

Edit: I found a few paper-scribblings:
-rent a pickup, put tarp in the back... jacuzzi?
-halo 1 drinking game: play entire campaign legendary, one shot for every death
Hey don't forget to add the tux rental fees to that list. It should push that limit clear over $1000.

Some other ideas could be:

Nerf-gun fights
Active card-games
kick the can (only if you can get 8 or more people)

But for god's sake whatever you do, don't shots to Halo 1 on legendary. They'll find your alcohol-drowned corpses in the morning.

I've already got an amazing plan for what's going down during my senior prom.
It involves
1) Guns
2) Explosive
3) Saxophones
and
4) Cars.

It'll be so much fun.

Prom is kinda overrated, I barely even remember my Prom.

I remember being bussed-out to the prom site, I remember the in-bus movie (Good Burger), but I don't remember Prom itself. The After-Prom, however, was epic. My guess is since it was so awesome, it pushed the memory of Prom out.

Spend the $180 on booze for the after party.

I had my Yr12 ball (it's the same as the prom I think) last week and I have one thing to say about it; it was the biggest waste of time and money I have ever had to go to.

It was so expensive, the band was rubbish etc. It was boring in general. Afters was the only good bit of the night.

Your party ideas are really tame. Of course, I don't do any stereotypical illegal teenage stuff either. I spent New Years playing board games and Halo with my friends =)

I liked my prom and my afterprom - having someone to go with helps.

The way I figure it, if you're in a crowd of people more than 10, it's pretty much your own fault if you get bored. I mean, you could get acquainted with somebody new, or refine your dancing, hold a conversation with friends. It's not hard to keep yourself entertained unless you're really dedicated to not having fun, in my opinion.

That said, laser tag is good any day of the week.

I'm saving the best stuff for college.

On Halloween, get 1 or 2 dozen Spartan Helmets and play naked Oddball/King of the Hill.

I had a blast at my senior prom, so I really don't get your angle here. In all likelyhood, you are going to have fun if you go to prom.....so just bite the proverbial bullet and go.

Even in college I still don't bother with that stuff. Too much of a goody person. My other friends may indulge a bit, but never with me.

Have fun running around naked though. Don't get caught by some old lady or something.

Prom? Didn't go. No one there I wanted to see. My friends either thought the prom was stupid, or didn't graduate, or otherwise weren't available. And my prom had some extra "but it's tradition" bolted-on retardation where everyone marched slowly around the auditorium for half an hour so everyone else could get a good look at your tux/dress. Like being in line at the DMV, only your clothes are more expensive. Stupid traditions, showing off, and having to act just so for the school's overlords. Most of the things I hated about school, distilled into 30 minutes of pure suck.

So, to summarize: Didn't go. No regrets. Still none over a decade later.

But the fact is, the posts in this thread - mine included - mostly boil down to a few basic archetypes.

1) "I did what I wanted to and liked it. You should do what I did."
2) "I wanted to do this but someone made me do that. You shouldn't do what I had to."
3) "Do something that'll probably get you killed, LOL internet advice."
4) The (rare) inversion of 1 or 2.

My advice? Ignore our advice. Do what you want to do, don't leave a body count or insurance claim, and let everyone else go rot. You might regret it, but probably won't. And if you do regret it, well, that's nothing. Welcome to the human race.
