@War: I like the "classic" idea. Maybe then allegiances would be formed and more activity would occur. Or, on the other hand, it could be a jumbled mess of people who don't care enough to coordinate votes. I suppose it depends on who is playing. I know that I am a bit paranoid about contacting people (also, inattentive).
As for changing SK too much, I'm a bit of a newer player and less of a purist. I came in around the time when new roles were being introduced, and I really liked how things were always shifting. Personally, I prefer to think of SK as an evolving game.
@Roles in general: I don't think adding extra roles would necessarily be a bad thing. Even if the roles aren't all incredibly essential to the game, I do think that they add the potential for writing material. That's what was so awesome about the Entwined. Sure, they didn't affect the game considerably, but I really dug what Link and Malyc put together when I was GM. We could use more stuff like that.
@GM Driven Events: Cool. An wide-reaching story about the cycle really deserves to be explored.
