Also, that is quite the nerf on the Spy.

How long has this rule been there for the Spy? It seems like every time a spy finds a way to halve the list of suspects, it gets nerfed. So far, I'm not sure I've heard of a convincing argument against asking nationality, forum meters or pub club status.

Not sure if everyone has read the rules properly since I have some people sending a number and some wanting a colour which isn't allowed. :/ Also I'm not able to give everyone's desired colour 100%, since some may be too similar to each other but so far is isn't a huge problem.[hr]

[HEADING=1]Regarding the role of the Spy[/HEADING]​

The changes made are not to nerf it but instead it is to prevent certain game-breaking situations when a question is asked, like these:

Is the Killer listed as in X country on their profile?

This question can't be applied to a Killer who hasn't put a flag on their profile, therefore the answer is always "no" for them. I also don't like how "Does the Killer have a country listed on their profile?" is considered to be a separate question. Removing it just doesn't make it complicated for future GMs, but if enough people complain about this one I'll enable it.

Is the Killer in the Publisher's Club?

The answer could be "yes" but midway through the game it's possible that the Killer's subscription will expire, invalidating the answer.

Does the Killer have a clean Forum Health meter?

This is not controlled by the Killer directly, because from other threads their meter would decrease by getting a warning or mod wrath and can be increased through amnesty. The changes to the meter can be altered after the question is asked. Mods also have their meter hidden, so it's impossible to answer the question if the Killer is one.

Does the Killer have X badge?

The GM can answer "no" but the Killer may be able to earn the badge right after and has no control over it.

Is the Killer befriended by X user?

Again, the answer can be "no" but then later would become incorrect if X user befriends the Killer afterwards.

Let me tell you why it is bull.

all of GM Areo's excuses for the Nerfing is because "things change" I have been spy now once, know what it did. I made a list of EVERY SUSPECT with there user name, country listed, pub club status,if the avatar is animated and which social networks were added.
when I received my asnwers I edited my list to include changes and removed non suspects. simple. this is obviously a case of 'nerfing'
if 'things change' is the excuse for nerfing these questions here is a list of other questions that have answers that change.
Was the last topic posted in by the kilelr in X forum?
Was the last topic posted in by the killer on X date?
is the Killer a Male?
Does the killer have X Social network listed?
is the killer a member of X group?
has the killer posted in X Forum?
does the killer have a animated avatar?
does the killer have an animated Profile photo?
does the killer have a profile photo?


Have I made my point?

I wouldn't really call forum posts or group membership part of the user's profile, but I'll add that to the role description to avoid confusion.

Changing gender, adding a social network link, changing avatar, changing profile photo or adding one while a game has already started has always been against the rules because you are making alterations to your profile purposely.

Pub Club status, Forum Health meter, earned badges and befriended users are all completely out of a user's control.

I'm workin' on it, the OP should be complete today and the game will begin tomorrow. The weird thing is that some regulars aren't showing up, like Lizmichi and Link_to_Future. :/

@sky14kenshiro: Numbers aren't needed this raundo, and possible future ones as well. Sending a colour was just to let me know you're joining the game, and to help with the banner.

The roles are given out completely randomly now, they replaced the number system because it was easy to have a role in your favour by choosing number 1 or number 100 every single round.
