I'll state my viewpoint first to avoid misinterpretation, I'm an aetheist - I don't believe in any god (note that's different from nihilism).
I think that cinema is one of our greatest outlets for the human psyche. To show us horror and violence and inconsolable action should be a necessary part of this. I once watched a comedian who made fun of a child abuse case in the papers. A member of the audience stood up and shouted him down, complaining. He responded succinctly by saying "If more attention was drawn to the iniquities of current societies then maybe we wouldn't have to deal with this kind of shit so much".
If a single viewpoint is followed absolutely then no good can come of it (there are no exceptions - although some of my potential responses may be expositional). I reached my aetheist [non] beliefs after much consideration of the facts available, much influenced by the supposedly modern american theologist evangelists as by modern science. I reached the conclusion that while modern science does not have all of the answers (the spark of life for instance), it does not preclude that we will someday know these answers and be able to explain them. In my opinion all (with the partial exception of pacifistic religions) religions are worthless and the cause of all strife in our world. They are repulsive and drive man against one another to satiate some imaginary dot in the darkness.
Therefore why not a game about a film about the anti christ? I remember 'Doom' being banned in Germany when it came out (or possibly the other one about Nazis) but it was no worse than 'The Predator' or 'Alien'.
If you are unable to justify your own beliefs then do you deserve to criticise others?
