Well, the God of War formula seems to work. So, why not more games about mythical figures.

Morne
Mythology is what keep God of War from being objected and blown off the face of the earth Manhunt-Style. Seriously, the mythology is accurate. It was that violent and that sexual.

As long as the movie doesn't feature William DeFoe smiling, I'll consider watching it.
That is a horrific picture, a great advertisemant for Land-Roverists - mudplugging, grubby murderists that we are!

This seems interesting. But whait, what's all this about different cuts for different countries?
Certain countries have censorship requirements. For example, blood can't be red in German releases (if you've ever watched the "Meet the Team" videos in German, the blood is black, and the shattered bones have been replaced with corkscrews).

Wow, that actually sounds pretty interesting, especially the part about being customized around your fears. I applaud these folks for having the balls to make a game and movie that they know from the get-go won't be consumed by all the sheep at Wally World.

"Dead kids, nudity, graphic violence. It will be a very controversial game, and it'll be a game that doesn't really compare with anything else."

You had me at "dead kids".

This one. Hands down.
I have an older horror movie with the exact same name. Never bothered to watch it though. I'm gonna go look up some reviews for this movie online.

Yeah, we've never seen any of those things in games before. /sarcasm
Dead kids? WTF? Where?
Technically FEAR. How about Max Payne with the dead baby? Technically that's a kid as well.

how do they intend on changing the game per person based on the fear profiles that are sent in by the gamer. let alone make the game CHALLENGE the person based on those fears. am i missing something or are they making this game super smart to the point where the game adapts to what you say your fear is, and on top of that..creating modeled interactive VISUALS for it. i simply don't get how they can do this.

Does it reflect bad on me when I immediately thought "he that sounds cool"?
Not as much as it might do on me, where my immediate thoughts were "meh, seen that before"
Ah, but have you seen all three together?

....Actually, let's not think about that. Instead, I'll just say that I'm not very optimistic for this game's future.

As soon as you mention the word contraversy you've got at least 10,000 people hooked regardless of what it's about. It could be contraversial only to left-handed bagpipe technicians in northern scotland with a wooden leg and cataracts ((Using this as an example I have nothing against scottish people or cripples, etc.)) and people wouldn't care because they love to sit on that social/moral fence.

I expect this game to be shot down faster than a 1900-era plane attempting to bring a nuke into US soil.

Seriously though, I don't get it. Maybe it's because I haven't seen the film, but I don't understand what the game will have in common with it. Choosing your own fears sounds cool and innovative, but what does that have to do with the film? Is it going to be loosly tied to the plot or something?

I think this game would have a better chance at success if it wasn't made after the movie.

Edit: I think I get it now. However, I am not interested in seeing someone cut their clitoris off, if that truly is what happens in the film.
