Haven't touched it since L.A. Noire and Arkham City came out on PC. I have to honestly admit I haven't missed my snowy mountains with lobotomized inhabitants for a minute since then.

Apparently I'm only missing out on even more bugs, so whatever.

"It's a new engine!" they said, "It won't have all the bugs!" they said.
It pains me to-, no, wait... it doesn't...
I fucking told you so. And the only person who listened will wait until the bugs are ironed out, and the price drops.
$20-$30 for a game like Skrym without half of the bugs, sounds somewhat worth it when the 3rd party patches roll out.

That's not a bug, they're just showing off now. You thought a dragon was deadly before, now you're really fucked when they start coming in reverse.

I can no longer play the actual game on PC anymore. I select it on steam to play; it loads;updates steam etc, and the the window with the fancy concept art appears. I press play, it exits and then reappears. I followed through with this about 10 times before I restarted my computer. And it still does the same thing. ?????? All that money down the drain.

What if you have Steam start when your computer starts up, like I do? Does this mean my Skyrim will either be fucked (from the patch) or unplayable (if the update starts and doesn't finish) regardless?
Damn, if so.

EDIT - Then again, I haven't had a problem pre-patch so far, so maybe I'll be lucky. Backwards dragons will be good for a little bit, even if just for a laugh.

Didn't have any problems pre patch, other than minor stuff that was negligible and a couple of freezes. Post patch I haven't really had any problems either, the game slows a little bit randomly but just for a second and not often, I'm running on a Xbox 360. I really hope I don't hit any bad glitches, so far I've been good, nowhere near how shafted Fallout New Vegas would sometimes leave me.

I got skyrim on PC, and this patch fucked up some shit for me aswell.

Sometimes texture for armor turns pink/purple and the crashes occur much more frequently now. My brother got even worse, his interior textures turns into some kind of grey blurry fog-walls. Neither of us had problems before.

Huh. And this is still considered the favorite to take Game of the Year awards across the internet? I was willing to wait on it at first as we waited for some fixes but after this patch it's glaringly obvious that the quality and polish nowhere near what such a highly regarded game should have.

Now we need a patch for this patch, and maybe a patch for that patch and still a patch for the problems that the original patch did not fix. Then the DLC is going to come out and we're going to need a patch for that, along with a patch for the issues that that patch brought up and...
Yo dog, I heard you like patches...
So we got a patch to go on your patch! So you can be patching while you patch!

Actually this exact thing has literally already happened with New Vegas, a patch to fix the game messed it up even worse, I was prepared for this.

I say we occupy Bethesda studios until they agree to hire a testing team, they clearly don't spend more than a half an hour testing what they make

And Bethesda was doing so well...

So, the unpatched version of the game works leaps and bounds better than this 'fixed' update version.

Next time I get on Steam, I'm making doubly sure that thing stays away from my game. It hasn't bugged out on me once after hours of dungeon crawling and dragon slaying.

The game is not "broken" I have put 30 hours into 1 character since I bought Skyrim last week, and I haven't had a single bug that prevents me from enjoying my time in the land of the Nords.

This is what Bethesda do, they release an amazing game because they put a lot of effort into it, and they release it as soon as it is ready so the fans can enjoy it all the sooner. Then they keep putting more effort in until all the bugs are fixed. Long time Bethesda fans have to put up with more of it, but they don't complain. You might as well expect Activision to not be a money-grabbing industry-whore
Not sure if srs.

I only have one thing to say, and I think I'm gonna say it on behalf of everyone at Bethesda, even though I don't work there: OOPS!

See, this, this here? This exactly? This is why I don't buy Bethesda's large open world games right out of the gate. I wait, until they've patched all they're going to patch, or at least until the consensus seems to be that the game isn't as consistently broken. I remember being excited for New Vegas, then cautiously reminding myself to wait until it actually smoothy operated. And it was worth the wait.

Anyone on the Xbox360 can confirm these bugs?

So far my pre-patch game was perfectly fine, no bugs at all.

so I rather not download it until I get some confirmation the bugs are really that bad.

Urgh, the disappearing mannequins are nothing new to me. That happened pre-patch, too. I wanted to make them pretty =[

But yeah, this comes as no big surprise nor disappointment. It's just the way the world (that Bethesda creates) works.
