You randomly decided to follow me, but you activated a trap and got yourself squished against the ceiling. I then went and looted your corpse for anything, but you had nothing because you were just a stray dog.

There's a dog??? Where!? I'd never take him traveling with me because I wouldn't want to get a dog killed, but he can stay in my house and I can feed him venison.

Anyway, I haven't had anyone die. I wouldn't cry over Lydia's death, though. She has no personality. I wish Bethesda had taken notes from Obsidian after seeing the New Vegas companions.

You tried to help me fight those mages but wedged yourself in that archway not letting me get through to help you fight them. Then by the time I went around, you and the fire mage took off. By the time I caught up she had killed you and mysteriously launched you fifty feet into the air.

For the love of Talos, this! After about ten I just decided to forget it. I'll walk.
Then I bought a war dog and sent him home immediately. I can only imagine.

-Giant. It took him 6 hits and half his health to kill you. And that was in your default armour. Holy shit.
-Swarm of vampires. How? You have a Dewmer War Axe. You should have been dropping them like flies.
-Me. Yes, the man had a flaming sword that had killed us 4 times before. Human shields are nice and all, but not when they shield the enemy killing us.

I let Benor go and I think he died because I couldn't find him again. I'll miss him for the time he spent consistently walking into a swinging spike-wall trap over and over again. Also that stray dog - I rode off on a horse and he disappeared.

I've given up with companions though - they steal all the glory from my character.

My one horse. I'm sorry that spider managed to jump you and take you out. I was trying to keep that angry giant from sending me Skyward because the other person shooting ice at it was unreachable.

Other than that, I haven't really brought companions along due to their inability to stay behind me for longer than 20 steps. Maybe I will start bringing them with me, if only to watch more memorable deaths.

R. I. P. unnamed first horse that fell off a cliff, killing us both when I was daring enough to try and turn around.

Horses have the beauty, elegance and manoevarability of a large lorry, at times.

I have meanwhile learned to take care of my current, exquisite and lovely horse, which I will not allow to die, and be it by immersion-breaking loading of the most recent save game, but it has some serious attitude problems, attacking everything - even dragons - or running into dead ends where it gets ritually slaughtered by just about everyone who's too much of a coward to fight me.

My dying horse has become the number one reason to load a recent save game at around level 30. I'd love to be able to tell my horse to stay put, go home, or come to me when I whistle or do my best Link impression. Not asking for fetch, sit or play dead, just some common horse sense. At least run away properly!
