Seriously...?

If this misconception becomes a big thing, I can bet my lunch money they'll put a bear with tentacles in the game somewhere. As a common mob or an ultra rare spawn, I don't know.
I'd appreciate an Easter Egg form of an Octo-Bear. Maybe a relic or cave-drawing, or perhaps a madman raving on about seeing the unholy offspring of ursine and cephalopod parentage.

...Maybe even a unique quest FOR the madman, and he turned out to be right - There WAS an Octo-Bear in the mountains!

I'm getting ahead of myself, but still.

On the other hand, look at that pose. It's not roaring, it's chanting. Clearly, this bear is in the process of raising the mammoth to act as its undead minion.

...That is what bears do, right?

Actually sir, I'm fairly sure he's summoned the birds to prevent the man from performing necromancy on the mammoth (which, if you recall, is illegal!).

For proof, note the direction of the birds, and the glowing GREEN smoke/mist/magic shit from the man's staff.

Tentecle Bears... well there must be rule 34 of it somewhere since it sounds like something from Hentai. No I will not search for it, there are things I just don't want to actually know. :p

That said, the game looks awesome so far, I just hope it doesn't have too many bugs, and a decent frame rate on my system.

I will also say that I am hoping we see more on the magic system. To be honest one thing that has kind of been annoying me is that it's somewhere between difficult and impossible to play Elder Scrolls games as a dedicated mage. Magicka is pretty limited, even for the specialized races, and spells are both expensive and fairly limited in the spell creator which required an act of congress to get access to in "Oblivion".

I mean I get the whole "start out weak, end very strong" thought process on magic, but at all levels of play I wound up doing as much, if not more with weapons than with magic because it was simply a lot more efficient, especially with all the high powered weapons you could either find or enchant yourself.

I get that this is a viking-themed game area, but I'd still like to see a much more practical spell system at all levels, and be able to solve my problems with magic without it being an inconveinence compared to other approaches.

Fair point. If Warcraft 3 has taught me anything, it's that green is the colour of necromancy and undead. Also, orcs.

Could it be that the viking's staff is an endless font of gaseous orc?

Why are the bear's individual finger's spread? The only reason I can think for a bear doing that is if it is (A) DJ Bear; aka DJ-Bare, or (B) a humanoid bear wizard. Either way Elder Scrolls V will not just be a time-suck, it will be a black hole, crushing and destroying all time within it's event horizon.

Well... how long before Pedobear gets a makeover?

OT: Well I don't see how people think its a tentacle bear when it so obviously is a Mammoth partially frozen in ice...

Also, I really hope I can dual wield that staff and sword. Then I can pretend that my character is an incarnation of Gandalf!

[sub]Hmmm... Gandalf the Young? Gandalf the Brown? Gandalf the... elf?[/sub]

We have just discovered that Skyrim will feature aerosolized Orc.

Well then, you've doomed us all to fight Dread Mammoths and Bear Liches. I hope you're happy.

Yeah that bear most definitely doesn't have tentacles. Judging by the atmospheric perspective, the bear is placed well behind the tentacles, which look a lot more like mammoth tusks than tentacles.

It's a bear and mammoth. That said, Bethesda should definitely incorporate a monstrosity like this.
Honestly I can't see how ANYONE could think this is a bear with tentacles, seriously? It's a Mammoth people! USE YOUR EYES!

Beautifully barren- thats how I described TES IV. Not much life. Heres hoping for more, more interesting, and more varied animals of all types, with or without tentacles.

Aw, I was hoping I could get my character tentacle hentai raped.
Maybe in TES VI...
There'll be a mod for it the first week, don't worry.

Hermus Mora is a Deadra Lord with tentacles, maybe he could possess a bear and do have you do a few quests for him?

That's a dead, rotting mammoth on the ground with what appears to be 2 tusks on his right side of it's face. The trunk is also clearly buried with snow.

At first glance, it does look like a tentacle thingy, but upon a closer look, it is a dead mammoth and a bear.

Or maybe it's like the Rakk Hive from Borderlands, were those birds were living.

This is 100% a mammoth carcass with a bear feeding on it. That being said, tentacle bear would be badass and if enough people suspend disbelief for a little and cheer about the prospect of this imaginary creature Bethesda may actually incorporate some of this truly epic monster that never was.
