1) Isn't it amazing that smokers are endlessly asserting their 'right' to smoke but get all annoyed when people question that 'right'. And then complain that you're being unfair and whining when you assert your 'right' to breath air that doesn't stink? Fun times... and the kind of logical argument that only makes sense in the mind of crazy people.

2) I propose that all non-smokers start carrying water pistols with red food colouring in 'em. If we have to live with the annoyance of breathing smelly smoke by-products, the smokers can live with the annoyance of wearing food colouring. Seems reasonable to me. :D

The people who attack people who smoke need to realize that smokers are far more aware of the fact that smoking is really, really bad for you than they are, since they have firsthand experience with the negative impact that smoking has on your health, and most of them also agree wholeheartedly that they shouldn't smoke, and they'd love to quit, but it isn't something they're just simply choosing to do, it's something their body requires them to do in order to function properly.

1-I despise smoking, but I have no problem about being around smokers, if anything, I am more comfortable around smokers than non-smokers.
2-I have never tried, but have considered it more than once
3-I like the smell of cigars, to be honest, much nice than cigarettes.

You've know told us that you'd love to see fewer cars on the road, but how do you feel about the roof on your house? I'm going to take a wild guess, and say that the roofing product is petroleum-based, and had to be shipped by truck from the manufacturer, after being made in a plant, before which the raw materials were extracted either from a sea-bed deposit, or the oil-sands. So, what's more important, the shelter over your head, or the environmental damage caused by every step of the process that created that roof?

Now could you do us smokers a favour: take your complaining about people that CHOOSE to smoke outside and shove it someplace as appropriate as we'd like to shove your pretentious, self-important soap-boxing? I'll choose to smoke, and you can choose to be a grumpy, stuck-up bint, and keep the hell away from me.

If you shoot at me with food colouring, I reserve the right to claim you've assaulted me, and defend myself.

BRING IT.

OT:

1: I smoke because it has a relaxing effect, and because I'm an industrial roofer; I inhale as much (if not more) tar during most days at work as I do smoking over the course of the same day.
2. Little bit of a buzz. Sometimes I still get one.
3. They have a different, richer flavour, and smoke slower, so it's more about enjoying the taste and the socialization, when you smoke a cigar or pipe.

How can I live with my self? Just fine thanks, i'll live longer than most people because I won't die of a stress related hart attack. I only smoke, at most one or two cigars a week, which is not harmful in any way shape or form and people who try to tell you it is, are people who have clearly never read any studies on its effects or studied carcinogens. Studies show that a daily cigar smoker (one a day) who Dose NOT Inhale has a roughly 1.5 percent higher chance of developing mouth, facial and throat cancers, which are some of the rarest cancers one can get. The same chance of getting repository disease as a non-smoker. The risk of lung cancer is minimal, elevated slightly than a non smoker, but not enough to be a statistical argument. If you smoke two cigars a day NOT inhaling it doubles these figures, 3 a day doubles them another time and five or more a day increases your risk factor by 8. There is no evidence in ANY cigar related case study to support elevated risks of an occasional smoker. However cigar smokes who inhale deeply are just as likely to develop lung and larynx (voice box) cancers as a 10 a day cigarette smoker, 20 a day if two cigars are inhaled ect. This is a VERY IMPORTANT factor in mortality when smoking cigars, for example the most risk a person who dose not in hale, who smokes daily is a roughly 1.5 increased risk of cancer. Whilst inhaling gives the smoker a 51 times greater risk of larynx cancer. Second hand smoke is also a non issue with new uk regulations, with people smoking outside the carcinogenic chemicals in smoke don't linger and thus cause no statistical, viable increased risk of ANY from of cancer of respiratory illness.

I don't smoke cigarets because I don't see the appeal, they have no taste or refinement, are vastly more addictive then cigars, and MUCH WORSE for you. With that said I don't have a problem with smokers or feel the need to tell then how to live there lives. When I smoke I always sit out side, whilst I do enjoy the smell of the smoke I don't like the smell of lingering, stale tobacco around the house, nor do I like sitting in smog.

Which is pretty apparent now, I smoke exclusively cigars, because I enjoy the taste and the hour and a half unwind they give, cigars are like fine wines they all have a different flavor and, granted its an acquired taste, can provide some of the most enjoyable sensations to the taste buds. The amount I smoke is minimal and if any one tells you or tries to convince you that puffing on the occasional cigar is going to give you cancer is completely wrong and have been taken up by the overly paranoid, nay saying anti-smoking crowd. The irrational beliefs of people today is a sign that government propaganda is still going strong, and they can sway opinion just as well today as the nazis could in WW2. On that note I would like to point out that Winston Churchill was a chain cigar smoker, he died at the age of 85, not from cancer or any illness related to smoking.

"I drink a great deal. I sleep a little, and I smoke cigar after cigar. That is why I am in two-hundred-percent form."

-Winston Churchill

I have a series of questions for smokers:

1.How can you live with yourself?(well, more like how do you feel about smoking)
2.How did you feel the first time you tried? (I tried it once, thank god it made me sick and I'm never touching the stuff)
3.Ever tried a cigar? What's so special about it?
1) I'll be dead long before cancer ever gets me, I'll make sure of that!

2) Massive pupil dilation and headrush. I never choked or coughed. I started smoking full-time a few months later when I was 14 and on a massive cider binge!

3) I'll sit down and smoke an entire cuban in one sitting, inhaling all the way. A very nice bottle of red goes perfectly with it, but you need to choose wisely, nothing too fruity.

Here it is, I have a mild nicotine addiction. But I'm 100% mentally addicted to smoking, whether it's cigarettes, cigars, or a big old blunt... I just like to smoke, and in my opinion that's the hardest thing to kick.

Started when I was 20, but I had already been smoking weed for 4 years so I was fine with the taste. I also have 2 smoking parents and there is obviously some connection with the second hand smoke taken in as a child.

1.I just do live with myself doesn't really get in my way, also I think smokings choice that you must make.

2.First time I tried it, its like the most relaxed feeling ever. Also I threw up after words.

3.Yes I've had a cigar, mostly have one on occasions or if I just need a cheap smoke. They just taste better and make your penis bigger.

I like how the OP missed the point of his own comic, thinking it was about smoking.

Well done.

I've only ever had one puff in my life, and it was nothing special. It was just... boring. I know you'd have to try a whole one to get the full experience or something, but I didn't see why anyone would make it a habit to put a load of tasteless smoke in their mouth regularly.

I used to smoke. Enjoyed it to an extent, mainly the socializing aspect, but also the chance to get outside and grab some fresh air, as contradicting as that is. Haven't smoked for over six months though, and wouldn't go back.

But living with myself? You may disagree or hate smokers, but grow up.

1. I enjoy my cigarettes. I smoke less than half a pack a day so I'm not too badly addicted yet.
2. Hmmm I don't remember. I don't think it had much of an effect either way really.
3. Yes I have, they're alright, admittedly I just bought a random one and didn't give it much thought. Cigars come in many different variations in quality, taste etc. and they're good for a treat but I wouldn't smoke them often.

1. I live quite well thank you very much. I'm more of a social smoker in that I'll occasionally have a few cigarettes around others that do. I never became addicted to it even after brief periods of heavy smoking. Not quite sure what all the hubbub is about addiction *shrug* I have a friend who would buy tobacco and roll his own... definitely better than the chemical laced crap Phillip Morris puts out.
2. First time? It was actually great, apparently I did it right and got nicely relaxed from it. I couldn't walk very well for about half an hour though.
3. Cigars are great! If you know what type of tobacco you like it can be very enjoyable just to sit there and puff away for an hour. As I understand it you have a higher chance of getting skin cancer just from being outside than you do with an occasional cigar.

1. What kind've question is that??? Smoking honestly doesn't bother me
2. I enjoyed it and I ended up smoking for about 6 months.
3. Yeah I fucking love cigars haha. We smoked one a while ago with a bong and put the bowl over our faces. We felt like men.

I don't know where i stand with smoking, it's as if i were a parent debating whether video games harm children.

One side: Studies show smoking is great in every way!
Opposition: Studies show smoking is bad in every way!

I'm not a big fan of 2nd hand smoke though, choking and struggling to breath isn't fun. Especially stuck in the back seat of a car with 2 parents smoking at the front during a 4 hour car trip, with the windows opened a tiny tiny bit as if that was going to magically make the smoke disappear.

But instead the wind coming in knocks the ash back into your face! I've been there too lol.

I don't smoke, but there's a thing behind it, with the cost of cigarettes and the level of addiction i observe on a regular basis, smoking could cost me anywhere from $2000-$6000/year, those figures equal into quite a bit of other better stuff i could spend that on... like parts I need for the restoration of my car, or say... saving up to do something worthwhile like putting a down payment on a house or something...

so yeah my decision is mainly that of logistics... also i hate the smell it leaves on clothing...
