So this is what sparks the End War? I mean really? The Great Battle of Ragnarok/Armageddon was instigated by some douhe making a fucking video about Muhammad?

The big burger represents my expectations for what would start The End War, the regular burger is that fucking video.

What I find funny is how attacking fucking embassies is somehow sending a message. Attacking and killing innocent diplomats and workers who had NOTHING to do with the film seems logical to extremist whack jobs.

Guess that's why they're extremist. *shrug* just wish this would all stop.

Well for MOST islamic countries, there's very tight restrictions on speech, if you intend to do a movie it has to be approved by the government. That in turn means that movies that come out in that country are essentially endorsed by the government at least tacitly in that it falls within the sphere of "approved viewpoints".

For a country under say, the Saudi throne, by letting this exist, that means the United States is endorsing it, therefore is a fair for their anger, and these embassies are literal US territory that's very accessible.

Of course, Australia has no excuse.

Only $20 to get that on a t-shirt? I'd say that's money well spent!

To be fair, while there were a few inflammatory signs, that was a peaceful protest until the police showed up in droves and started pepper spraying children and setting their dogs on people. It escalated from there. Who gives a fuck if they like Osama. You don't start mowing down peaceful protesters just because you don't agree with what they say.

I'm more surprised that you think every nation has to like yours.
"Like"? We frankly don't give a shit of you like us. We just ask that you don't start violent protests. There *is* a happy medium, you know.

PS I'm well aware that these people don't represent the whole of Australia. By the way, this consideration is a courtesy rarely afforded to Americans.
Again, why do you think you deserve that consideration?

I live in Mexico and we don't expect anyone to like us, and if we like someone it's mostly arbitrary. I think that's the main reason a lot of people I know don't like the US, the population feels like they are entitled to a lot of stuff..

Don't get me wrong, I do like the US, my Grandma is a citizen, my mother is a citizen and I am a citizen, I really do like the US, I just don't like a lot of the people there.

Sure Christian fanatics exist, but they're not causing world-wide trouble and genocide...not like Islamic fanatics. I myself used to be a Christian and it is truly one of the most tolerant and peaceful religions (along with Bhuddism).
Indeed. Christianity tells its adherents to direct all their negativity inward by making them feel guilt and shame over stuff that not only isn't wrong, but which in many cases they haven't even done. This keeps Christians too busy hating themselves to hate anyone else.
Do we really need to be taking pot shots at just about everyone today?

What are you? Their apologist? Just because the Green Left start publishing and disseminating unsupported, unfettered bullshit[footnote]http://www.greenleft.org.au/node/52260[/footnote] does not mean that the rest of us have to line up to lap that crap up.

So I challenge you, in this day and age of nigh omni-surveillance to produce the smoking gun which proves that the police attacked the protest first.

Show me some evidence, real evidence, that isn't merely an ideologically driven opinion piece spinning damage control, because they somehow mistakenly believe that enough people take the shit that tumbles out of Andrew Bolt's mouth seriously enough for meaningful action to come from it.

This is why i will never live anywhere that it doesn't get cold enough to kill everything that isn't warmblooded. When you let them live for more than a year without killing the population they start to think they have rights.

Elect G-Max: are you sure? I'm fairly certain thats Catholics.

Dude... I was there. I can't prove it to you, but I watched it go down with my own eyes. Hell, even the article in the OP admits that the violence began after the police tried to break up the protesters. Of course some people are going to react violently when they see their comrades being unjustly attacked.

You don't have to believe me, but you can give up trying to convince me otherwise given that I fucking watched it happen.

Yeah, I hate to admit it. Though the New York Times is still pretty good, although they don't have the budget they used to have.

so a bunch of people protest at an embassy and that makes all us aussies hate americans how ?
Now you know what it feels like to be an American on the Internet
Not the same situation at all. The things americans get stick for are generally the beliefs of a large number of your people (as in close to or more than 50%) or the actions of your elected officials. You know, the people who were voted for by a majority of their constituents.
This is a few hundred people in a country of 22 million.
I'm not talking about beliefs (you are pretty much right about those), I'm talking about actions.

(One American out of millions does something stupid) LOL STUPID 'MERICANS
(A few Australians out of millions protest) LOL AUSSIES HATE 'MERICA

Seems pretty similar.

Just like to point out that in Sydney, the muslim community who cause all the trouble (it's like 10-15% of the greater community) are treated with the same level of respect as green ants, and considering our police carry .40S&W Glocks with 14 rounds, they're lucky they weren't shot.

Australia, in general, tends to not give a shit. We have an atheist female leader and we only hate her because she keeps implementing bullshit taxes we shouldn't need.

Lets be clear. Not a single Australian was involved in this deplorable riot. It was the cancerous rot that has worked it's way into our country like a virus. They in no way represent the views of Australians and I'm sure most would agree with me that all involved should be shipped off the one of the third world middle eastern shit holes they seem to like so much.
The problem is you get labeled as 'racist' for saying things like that, yet ask any fucking cop working in sydney and they will tell you the same thing: 90% of their problems stem from 1% of the fucking population.

If it wasn't for the bikies the only people causing trouble in this country would be the lebs/muslims who haven't lived here for more than 1 generation. Yes, that's a racist view, but go down to fucking sydney on a saturday night and when you get a group of 5-6 teenage leb cunts causing shit only to go down the road and have ANOTHER group of them starting MORE shit, feel free to try and not be racist then. It's absolutely bullshit, it's at the point where you can't walk through sydney at night anymore unless you're in a decent sized group or don't look white.

I don't like being racist, but living near sydney it's bloody hard not to be.
I would like to Hi-5 you right now. Who the hell immigrates to a country and is completely intolerant of the home nations laws and beliefs?
It's like being graciously allowed to stay at a friends house, then knocking through some walls and remodeling just because it suits you better.

All religion needs to fuck right off.
