I'm reading two book at the moment, when I'm at home, I read 'The Heroin Diaries' by Nikki Sixx. An interesting delve into "A year in the life of a shattered rock star", and his battle with drugs. When I'm travelling or at work during a break, I read 'The Lost Child' by Dave Pelzer. The second in the series of a boy who was severely tortured by his own mother, also a true story.
The last elephant is a really good one about the watch, and since most Terry Pratchett books explain everything you need to know, while somehow making it funny, as well as insulting Dibblers sausages, it isnt necessary to read them in order. Plus, Death is in it, and Pratchett does Death really well.Soviet Heavy said:

I'm currently reading Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me and the Kindle version of L.A. Noire: The Collected Stories. Afterwards, I plan on reading the BioShock: Rapture novel once it is released.
The Memoirs of Cleopatra - by Margaret George. 976 pages.
I had just finished rereading her, Mary: Queen of Scots & The Isles. 880 pages.
I also plan on reading her, The Autobiography of Henry VIII: With Notes by His Fool, Will Somers 960 pages,after I finish with Cleopatra. Even though I've already read nearly everything I can get my hands on where the Tudors are concerned.
I really do enjoy Historical Fiction.

I'm currently reading three books, and I switch between them depending on my mood. They are: Manifold Time by Stephen Baxter, Matter by Iain M Banks, and The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski.
I just finished re-reading Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky - I recommend it. It's the novella that STALKER was very very loosely based on.

it's about a town in which everyone over the age of 15 disappears (doctors, police, teachers, parents, everybody), leaving the entire population of youths, children, and toddlers alone. The entire town is encircled by an impenetrable sphere, 20 miles in diameter. Animals start to mutate, and some of the children begin to develop strange, startling powers...
It's like Lord of the Flies written by Stephen King, (speaking of which, Stephen King even says that he loves the series!)...
Needless to say, it's fucking epic!
Also: To those that have read the series, Drake is a prick...

im waiting for the next dresden file book. it comes out the 26th...
after the cliff hanger on the last book... it cannot come soon enough. also, im a speed reader. the entire series (thus far) of the dresden files in under a month. it's just natural for me.

The Thief of Always. It's about a couple of kids who go to a holiday funhouse-type place where every day is nothing but fun. Oh and something about the hosts being evil blah blah.
The Malazan series is possibly the greatest work of epic fantasy fiction (IMHO) written since Tolkien (sorry Martinites; Martin is the better writer though I recommend reading Eslemont's Return of the Crimson Guard and Stonewielder first, puts some of the stuff that happens "off camera" (can't remember what that's called in lit.) in context. Also, the Crippled God is amazing. Totally worth it.Stublore said:Reading:
