Couple of options!
1) Glance over his shoulder, freeze, say, "What in th-SHIT!" and dive to the side to avoid whatever imaginary thing you're looking at, screaming that "It's going to eat you, oh god, don't let it get you!" while sobbing uncontrollably. It might not keep ya from getting shot, but it adds a whole new level of creepy to that person's day, and EVERYONE needs more creepy!
2) "Okay, okay, hold on, shit!" Act like I'm handing them my wallet, throw it in their face while stepping in (and out of the guns line of fire), disarming them and planting an elbow in the solar plexus. And for naysayers, my brother and I are martial artists who've actually practiced this maneuver a LOT. It's awesome.
3) Laugh at them, pointing out that their safety isn't even off. 'Cause Metal Gear Solid is the source of practical gun-safety knowledge. :nod:
