Tretton's quote on "an industry having trouble focusing on today" is a bit ironic, considering part of his message last year was "just wait and see, give us a chance to show you what's coming". Still, he's right in that leaks in gaming companies is somewhat of an issue. I don't think privacy policies have quite caught up with the speed of the internet and how word travels fast from an idle IM, a tweet, or a video. Then there's the whole aspect of prioritizing your secrets. You almost want to think that a certain set of things you are fine with leaking can be put forth to a wider audience of your employees, while the truly "trade secrets" can be limited to a select few you can actually trust.
Understandably, the analog to what leaked for Sony doesn't quite work when it's a far-reaching project that tons of people are working on, but on the flipside of the coin, there was a certain amount of publicity garnered from the PSP-Go and The Last Guardian being leaked.
All that being said, I'd hate to be the guy Tretton found out leaked the goodies.
