Cue Nintendo vs. Sony fanboy skirmish...
More like every gamer vs. one dick.
Not every gamer is a Nintendo fanboy.

Oh, wait wait wait! Ahem...

TWO HUNDRED AND FOURTY-NINE US DOLLERS!

God, I've been waiting to do that for years.
No, you're quite the opposite. You're making yourself seem like a general Nintendo hate train.

New York Ferry companies: The Brooklyn Bridge is nice, but it's not for real New Yorkers.

I'd like to see any higher-up in Sony play a psp on a long plane ride next to a stranger.

Owning handheld consoles doesn't make you any cooler after the 6th grade. Not saying I'll look down on you for having one, but I won't be impressed either.

His ramblings just make me insinuate bad things about this new "NGP." That they're afraid enough to bash competitor products, rather than stand by the quality and functionality of the device. It sounded so promising, ah well.

Wait a damn minute. My friend works for Sony? 'Cause that seems exactly like what he was saying in art class yesterday.

'Sides, I know plenty of people from 15-late twenties who enjoy the DS family.

My sister still plays hand-held gameboy games on her DS! and she's 27 now xD
It's one of the best time killers out there, a books are hard to read on an over-crowded noisy airplane but with headphones and a DS you can happily relax and plan advance wars, sims or any other kinda of game that's not really a mainstream time-killer but it's still great when you got no better alternate.

To be honest i agree with the guy with the trollface dance.

EDIT: And what do you expect them to say? "Oh the 3DS is just a MARVELLOUS system that is reasonably priced and will do very well! We thank Nintendo for creating a product that will eat into our market share! BRAVO!". If they are going to say ANYTHING about the 3DS, they will, OF COURSE, say something negative about it!
Thing is this Jack guy didn't just rag on the DS, he inadvertently insulted every person older than 16 who uses a DS. I'm sure that's quite a lot of people. When you consider the fact that of DS gamers a fair few are adults it sounds really childish to say playing the DS is "something young kids do on airplanes". It indicates that Jack Tretton is out of touch in this respect, since it doesn't seem like a good idea to try and shame a large proportion of the handheld gaming audience into buying your console.

Personally though I agree partially with Jacky boy; to me DS's seem more suited for kids. It may be a side-effect of the consoles' lack of grunt but most games on the DS have rather cutesy cartoon graphics. (Go die chibi-Link, I want my werewolf Link from twilight princess)

Wow. I've never seen anyone so effectively convince me not to buy a product. Congratulations Mr. Treton. I will never buy the NGP thanks to your attitude.
Really?... seems like a fairly dumb reason not to buy what could be a very good console.

So this guy thinks Sony's PsP is for self respecting adults? Has he even seen one of their commercials?

That is so totally for self respecting adults. And what a wonderful message at that, too.

I agree, but not for reasons like graphics or games. The moment it was announced that Nintendo can remotely brick a 3DS they lost my money. As a consumer, I refuse to be treated like a criminal when I haven't done anything wrong.

It's unfortunate how much of modern gaming I'm unable to enjoy because of that stance.

I'm a self-respecting 20-something, and he's got it right. Isn't most of Nintendo's adult audience in it for the nostalgia anyway? If they want something worthwhile they go to the PS3/360, something that feels like its made for them.

He's obviously never experienced the pure greatness of Proffesor Layton, Phoenix Wright, or the Elite Beat Agents.

And for that, I pity him.
Don't know the 3rd game but im an avid Layton fan at 26 and Pheonix Wright has also won me over!

PR fuckup? Well, ha! This doesn't surprise me one bit. The PS3 is my main gaming platform, and even I hate Sony sometimes. As for the 3DS...well, I hear it's doing pretty good. Which is a shock for me, since I tried it out at a local store and the 3d effect made me dizzy and slightly nauseus after about 15 minutes. I don't even want to imagine how I would feel after 2 hours on the thing. I was gonna buy it eventually, but since I actually tried it...no chance.
