I think they're mistaken, that guy in the teaser didn't look like Shepard, plus Bioware sin't done with their "endgame" DLC for Mass Effect 2 (Lair of the Shadow Broker was the first, but it's not the last).
I wouldn't expect Mass Effect 3 so early.
Plus I'm more excited at the prospect of a new IP.

It doesn't necessarily mean the secret is Mass Effect 3 itself. It could have something to do with the storyline, new characters, anything at all. If anything, I'd say this deepens the mystery, as now, I want to know just what in the hell they might be doing with ME 3. I still want to say that the Game Informer teaser has something to do with this, too.
Yeah, the only reason they would drop hints about a game that everyone knows is coming out at some point is if it's come earlier than they originally said (which would have it released between late 2011 to early 2012). Though I like this news better than the one about them making a game geared towards the Call of Duty fanbase. That one made me shudder and ball up in a dark corner, not eating or drinking for the next two days.

I rather loved the striking colours you usually had in Mass Effect. Even in ME2, which was pretty dark to begin with, you always had strong colour accents everywhere. It never had a grey-brown generic shooter feel to it, which is the vibe I'm getting from this short clip.

that would be a stupid reveal, since we all know ME3 is in the making. plus, armor and weopanry in the mass effect series look nothing like this. this looks like a totally different game. if bioware said this is a teaser for ME3 they'd became complete idiots, since when ME2 was released they said ME3 is in the making.
That's not Shepard. They use the default male Shepard for advertising (i.e. the one modelled on that guy who's name I've forgotten), so that guy is - if it's ME3 and he's in it - either there to throw people off or he's a potential companion/NPC.Reyalsfeihc said:

Let's see... A similar honeycomb pattern can be seen on Miranda's clothing (And it's seen on some other companions, I believe), and that rifle is the Incisor rifle from Mass Effect 2.
