...And what are the people who already have these games supposed to do??? Nothing forgiven, Sony.
Guess they forgot to cross-check your games list before coming up with a list of free games to give to their millions of customers.

This is actually quite nice. I've been looking everywhere for my physical copy of inFamous, and had almost considered buying a new one; thanks for saving me a trip to the store, Sony. I'll probably pick up Wipeout HD while I'm at it.

Let's see...

Dead Nation - obscure
inFAMOUS - crap older game that everyone already owns
LittleBigPlanet - older game that everyone already owns
Super Stardust HD - older game that everyone already owns
Wipeout HD + Fury - older game that everyone already owns

Good job Sony. How about you just stop slapping me in the face with these insulting offers and just give me my identity theft protection now? That's all I want anyway. You can keep the free games and PS+.
Hey, I only have one of the games on the list. I think that this is a fair list, considering the fact that you can get 2 for FREE. Also, there is always playstation plus to look forward to.

The wording is strange here.

Can I pick only two games from that entire list, or can I get two for my PS3 and two for my PSP?
You can get 2 for ps3 and 2 for psp

I just realize this whole thing is gonna cost Sony billions of dollars if every one on the psn participated , Sony is really really sorry.

Its bad that I already own the 2 full retail games on the PS3 list. But Dead Nation and WipeOut HD for free? Ain't gonna turn that up.
I sure as hell hope they change the list up at least a little bit for Australia. I've already got LBP (and LBP2), Dead Nation and Infamous.

Damn, now I feel like a sucker for buying Dead Nation :p

I just read some of the T&C and now I feel really sad.

For Germany, InFamous and Dead Nation will be replaced with Super Stardust HD and Hustle Kings. I really feel sorry for any germans looking for these offers, they're really getting the shit end of the stick.
And it's even worse when it comes to PSP games. Instead of Pursuit Force and Killzone Liberation, they get Everybody's Golf and Buzz Junior Jungle things.

Man, and I thought my government was a bunch of strict bastards.

Well, I guess I'd take infamous, but I'd rather take some add on content or DLC instead of the other games though. Had my eye on the extra missions for Valkyria Chronicles for a while now.
Yeah I know what you mean.

I wanted like some dlc for assassins creed 2 (yes I still havent gotten them)

But its the thought that counts.

So...if I bought a PS3...would I still get inFamous and LBP? If so, I will be at my local Best Buy...

Seriously, though, I applaud Sony for this move. Giving their best games away for free? Brilliant.

Just my 2c on the choices.

The US PS3 lineup has some real gems in it. For those who have never played it, the original PS3 LBP is easily one of the best games ever released for the system. A true classic platformer with a look and feel and sense of fun that has almost never been equaled. Probably the best game single game on that list. Infamous comes up at #2. Another true classic. Wipeout HD is essentially the Pod Races from the Star Wars prequel, Hover racers through tunnels and such. But really really well done. Well worth the effort. I have never really looked at Dead Nation or Super Stardust so I can't speak for them.

On the PSP side Modnation Racers is probably the stronger of the games (at least that I am familiar with). LBP on the PSP is a good game, but it pales in comparison to the full blown PS3 version. If you have to make a choice get LBP on the PS3.

And yeah it really would have been nice if they offered up some classic options like Tactics Ogre or FF Tactics.

Wow.

You know, there isn't really any question that Sony screwed up big time, and the sad thing is that, regardless of how well they reform their security, the only way this little incident will be fully made up for in the public mind is for it to never happen again. And forever is a long time.

But this is an extremely generous incentive, and as far as working your way back into gamers' good graces goes, Free Stuff is a pretty damn good start. I know what two games I'll be getting, and I'll be grateful for them. Stay classy, Sony.

And stop hiding your keys under your doormat.

I too would rather see DLC too. I'd love to play the Stacking expansion. Either that or be able to get a PSOne game, that way I could get SotN a FOURTH time!

Anyway, I suppose that deal is good enough, though I do already own the two games that would interest me.

Boy, this would be sweet.

IF I could download it. But every time I try to go to the Playstation Store, it's "Currently down for maintainance".

If they can keep it "down for maintainance" for the next 30 days, they don't actually have to give anything away.

Well, I must say this is pleasant news, especially given what I was saying earlier about no ETA on the store, and my suspicians that they were counting down the "free" plus membership.

Darn, the only one out of all of the PS3 list I don't have is Dead Nation. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.

Though for those who want some of those, I'd recommend inFamous and WipeoutHD+Fury. Both are fantastic, especially WipeoutHD with it's sublime presentation.
Since you said you have Super Stardust HD, and no one here seems to want it... how did you like that game?
If you enjoy anything like Geometry wars, you'd probably love SuperStardustHD. The music and tech-y kind of feel to it is great, but I have a hard time recommending it as it doesn't have too much replay value outside of just trying to beat your highscore over and over. I'd go for one of the more meatier games like inFamous, LBP, or Wipeout, but SuperStardustHD is still a good choice to go with.
Dead Nation and Wipeout seems like a popular combination.

I could also try and see if I can sign up for another account and get the rest.. worth a try!

Anyways, thanks for the reply!

Infamous and Wipeout HD Fury for me XD
(already own LBP and don't have an interest in Dead Nation and don't have a PSP).

It sucks for the people who have already bought said games, but if I can make the assumption you can afford to have bought them, wouldn't this time be a great opportunity to take advantage of the PSN+ discounts (depending on the offerings)? :S

The only games that hold any real interest for me are killzone and infamous but I already bought them. But, I really can't complain about getting free games

Apparently this offer is only for accounts made before April 20, so creating a new account would be useless, though I have no idea.
