You mean for the character that was in the game for only 15 seconds?

Nathan Fillion is great and all, BUT YOU DON'T GIVE AWARD NOMINATIONS TO CAMEO ROLES!
That's like nominating Arnold Schwarzenegger for best Actor in a Leading Role for his cameo in Termintor: Salvation or The Expendables.

I really hope no one takes The VGA's seriously.

That makes me a sad, sad pandah as well. I have no idea who decides the qualifications for half of this stuff. It'll never make sense to me.

Yeah, it's things like putting the numbers lady from BlOps alongside Jenifer Hale as Commander Shepard from Mass Effect for the same award that really perplex me and make me wonder just how much stupider Spike can get.

Donkey Kong Country Returns isn't even out yet. How can it be nominated when only a very few people have played it.

The same way that G4 had several games that weren't released yet up for nomination for the viewer voted Game of the Year award. It's a stupidity that no one knows or understands, yet so, so many people posse.

Yeah, Spike really needs to stop letting morons pick names out of a hat, most of these games are brand new, so how the hell can they be nominated? Doesn't GotY usually entail being AROUND for a year? If that's not the case then Halo and CoD should just release GotY editions at launch instead of Limited Edition and Legendary Edition at launch.

Not gonna lie. I lol'd very hard at this. But GOTY would be ME2. Not Halo. Never. Fucking. Halo.

Starcraft 2 is easily my GotY, but it's not hard to see their choices. Games developed for the mainstream will obviously be GotY for the mainstream. If Black Ops somehow doesn't win, I'll eat my hat.

That`s like the only bad thing about this list is the blops will proabably win and Starcraft 2 does`nt have a nomination. And I`m pretty sure Half life episode 3 is the most anticipated game ever.

Sonic 4 isn't in the downloadable title list? Huh. I thought it was pretty good. I do think Scott Pilgrim should win for best downloadable game. Well, I hope some games on this list I think look cool, do good.

all i know is, if Mass Effect 2 doesnt win GOTY, it will have been a popularity contest for sure

Uncharted 2 won last year, deservingly, so hopefully ME2 will also win this year

I'm psyched that Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom got an independent nomination, as well as Alan Wake getting one for best 360 game, although there is no way it's going to win.

EDIT: And Halo: Reach as best shooter. Then I will know that Spike is still staffed by good people.
