Captains Log, Stardate 4765.1: Star Trek is better than Star Wars. If you disagree, you are wrong.

Captain's log, supplemental: I was attempted to be thwarted by a "jedi." He failed miserably. He tired to force choke me and waved his hands around trying to get me to agree with him. I explained how his logic is flawed, in Vulcan fashion, and then nerve-pinched him. He fit the floor. I then sent a Borg homing beacon to a couple of isolated Star Destroyers; they were assimilated within hours once the drones adapted to the storm trooper's blasters, but none of them were hit anyways because of the rules set forth by A New Hope.

The lesson to be learned is that Star Trek is Science Fiction with a heavy dose of "science;" it is an example of the Enlightenment. Star Wars is full of mysticism and very little science, if any at all; an example of the Dark Ages before the Enlightenment.

So Vulcan Mind Meld=Reality
Hmm...Yes Star Trek is so scientific. I wonder why Star Trek and Star Wars are called [HEADING=2]Science Fiction[/HEADING]

Don't get me wrong, I like Star Trek...But using actual science to compare something that both involves alot of Fiction and Fantasy is pretty pathetic

Oh I agree that there still is hokey stuff in Trek. But at least half the story isn't about the strange Vulcan stuff. They at least discuss fictional workings of quantum singularity and MARA warp systems and disruptors and all that in the television shows and some of the films. Fictional or real, they explain it some how. And you don't have to go to the expanded universe and look it up like in Star Wars.

The Force was about as explainable as the biblical creation of the Earth, which is fine, but when they introduced medichlorians and numbed it down to microscopic cells, the original fans were critical of it. It wouldn't bug me so much if they focused more on the war itself and not on Jedi and light saber fighting. I really only dislike the prequel trilogy; Empire is my favorite of the series. I just wish they had more focus on the actual Galactic Civil War and not just character development. We hear the Star Destroyers kickin' ass, but all we see on screen is it killing fighters and a tiny blockade runner.

EDIT: The Trek side would win your above fight pic. Worf is a main character, so he would be the only survivor. If you put Han Solo or General Grievous on the Star Wars side, then you would have an actual fight.

Ok I'll give you that...I personally like parts of the prequels. But it was all character devlopment and George Lucas is a money whore for trying to appeal to kids...But Star Wars appeals to me for being more of a fantasy then trying to bore me with science, less tacky then Star Trek and was cooler to dress up at Halloween for as a Jedi/wookie/Darth Vader/Boba Fett etc than as a Klingon/Federation/Vulcan etc...

But the new Star Trek movie was great and I am definatly looking forward to seeing more movies.

But one thing I can say with full confindence...The music to Star Wars kicks Star Trek's ass anyday.

Captain's Log, Supplemental: Yes, Wars has better music because..well, they had a Symphony. Trek is more of a thinking man's series. Wars is more for the fantasy fan.

@brtshstel : If anything lets agree to disagree...We both have our tastes and loyalties...and arguing isn't that interesting...for me anyway. And I intended the Star Trek sucks poster to be a simple random joke.

Not trying to start anything...But some of the Trek side don't even appear to have weapons...So its seems to be a fair fight

EDIT: One is holding up a knife, one is holding up what looks to be a communicator...and one is holding up his hand...care to explain?

(And I think the stormtroopers should be able to hit targets at that range...but i don't know)

I was only commenting on the lack of consistency and plot shielding on Worf's behalf. Plus if you have ever seen Worf really kick ass in a fight, like in First Contact, while all the other crew members apart from Picard, Crusher, and Data, were assimilated or killed, you would know that most of kis kills would be from bashing necks with the butt of his rifle. Whatever troopers the nameless extras and the kid didn't take out, Worf would win simply because he's a vital role, where as the Imperial side doesn't have any important people but just nameless troopers and pilots. That said, if you had Grievous or somebody important on the Wars side, it would be a fair fight.
