I always liked him, I would probably watch Dr. Who at least once if he did this. I thought it was slightly amusing that he played a character about as straight as his nose in V for Vendetta.
What's so amusing? He is gay, after all.
What? You mean that the guy who played Reaver, the most badass character in Fable 2, is a 'Friend of Dorothy'?

Oh Lord... this is almost as much of a revelation as the time Rob Halford came out.
Likewise what does it even matter? Always seemed like irrelevant info to me.

"Oh my lord! You have sex with other people?!? How on earth do you manage?"
I thought that it mattered so much when I found out he was gay, that I did nothing at all except replied "Really? Hmm, I guess that makes sense, oh well, what were we talking about?"
that and my dream of
[HEADING=2]Absolutely not doing anything innapropriate at all with Stephen Fry or other heterosexual men[/HEADING]
*shifty look*

Anything with Stephen Fry is watchable.

He needs to be injected into everything

And the whole argument about him playing Bisexual characters is absurd in general. He is one of the Jewels of Britain and he is intelligent who gives a shit if he likes guys fuck anyone who cares

read his books, he's done quite a few 'the liar' is quite good as long as you have the ability to not heave at descriptive elements of gay sex. And if you can't do that, then once you've stopped heaving, read on, it's very imaginative and marvelously sculptured.

But do you know what would be an even better show?

"Stephen Fry reads things", it's a half hour show were Stephen Fry reads books, magazines, newspaper articles, etc in his cool soothing voice, millions of people across the world would be mesmerized.

I did not know this.
Remember the LittleBigPlanet ZP review?

All those double entendres were intentional and thought out.

Yes.

Yes, please.

In fact, I'll take two.

Heck, let me just throw this out there, and I know this is way ahead of the curve:

Stephen Fry? He should actually BE the twelfth Doctor.

There, I said it.

Enough with these youngsters playing the Doctor. Let's go back to the roots. Let the kid do his run, give him two seasons and then bring in the good stuff.
Can't there only be twelve doctors?

And as a side note, is anyone else excited to see the return of the Weeping Angels in Series 5? Blink was by far my favourite Tennant-era episode, and I can't wait to see how Moffat (who himself wrote Blink) brings them into the fray again this time round :)
No. Blink was a fantastic episode, but I can't imagine what else they'd be able to do with the Angels except for have another episode like Blink. There's only so much staring I can take.

Yay :D. Stephen Fry is just a genious an absolute genious. Stephen Fry is my hero! My avatar approves of this thread incredibily.
I'm looking forward to next series of Doctor Who with steffen moffat ( probably not the right spelling but in my opinion he has written the best episodes) and a stephen fry episode, this series will be pretty epic. I especially can't wait for the next chapter in his autobiography.

Normal Timelords only have 13 forms (12 regenerations), although they're called "renewals" within Gallifreyan culture. The Master has already burnt his up by The Deadly Assassin, but has since absorbed Tremas, Nyssa's father, where it's assumed he's reset his regenererations.

The process is subconscious, can be stopped and does funny things to the time-line at it's point. (Hence the Blinovitch Limitation) Given enough energy though, like the heart of the TARDIS, the cycle can be reset, but it'd needed something along the lines of a black hole.

Oh, canonically, anything can change in a renewal, even gender.

I mean, why are we assuming that the first Doctor was the first Doctor EVER?
He refers to himself as the first regeneration, and he was on Gallifrey (one of the stuffiest places in the universe for a long time - having even risen to being in line for Presidency).[This may explain how he got to 900 in only one "life"]
However, Chancellor Borusa referred to him as brilliant but unfocused. The Sisters of Karn have a potion to deal with difficult regenerations, so maybe he was allowed to age into that state.

That's not to include The Watcher, The Valeyard or "trying on" new regenerations.
