I have not blown myself up in the name of Allah, nor has any of my family. ( I still, to this day, do not see why the first words out of everyone's mouth when I mention my ethnicity are "What, are you a terrorist or something?" or "Whoa! Don't go blowing yourself up now!" )
hey i didnt know there were muslims on the escapists.

The French stereotype is a one that's pretty much totally wrong in my experience. Aside from the snooty arrogance. That is spot on with a few of them.
That's the point about stereotypes. It is spot on with a few of them, even the majority in some cases. It is fine to know that something is usual, it is not fine to think that it is universal.

Americans are fat workaholics, spending all their money, usually in office jobs, on over-priced toys that they never have time to play with because they work all the time or are too lazy to use them when they have free time.

*looks at self*

Awww... damn it!

Well if stereotypes were completely wrong they wouldn't be stereotypes...All stereotypes have their roots based somewhat on true things but we're so pc nowadays you can't say that.

This sums it up pretty well. Stereotypes are indeed spot on with some people but definitely don't cover everyone.

Americans are stupid, ignorant, arrogant twats who care nothing about anyone else. And they can only speak English.

It's so so wrong.

Most Americans I know, myself included, are very interested in other cultures and countries (especially because most of us have immigrant descendants) and almost everyone I know that's my age can speak another language enough to get by.

That we bi-sexuals will jump on and start humping anything that moves. Or that we're incapable of holding a monogamous relationship.

I'm a stereotypical Canadian, only I'm American. Somehow I got a Canadian accent while living in Washington state. I also wear a toque.

Canadians don't worship maple syrup and donuts.

Pacific North Westerners don't wear socks with sandles.

All middle easterners hate America.

They don't hate America, they just hated the guys who were running it for the last eight years.
You mean "Guy" minus the plural, right?
Because Bush almost had a monarchy going considering how he used his power...
Well, him and the people around him. Rumsfeld, Rove and Cheney did a lot of the mental heavy lifting.

Also, Israel is in the Middle East and they have every reason to love America.

All British people drink tea.

I know about ninety percent of British people (including me) do, but I know a fair few people who don't.

I don't know if this counts, but i hate it when people use the word Jew whenever something happens to them
i'm not even jewish, but i bet some redneck got Jews and Nazis mixed up and now it's permanent
And i just used the word redneck, which is a stereotype of southern people that isn't true either
How ironic

I'm English, from the South and white.

I drink tea and love a good crumpet, am useless at foreign languages, sarcastic to the bone, enjoy a game of cricket every now and then, can't dance for a fine slice of cheddar and I'm very good at heading evil corporations which almost take over the world before being thwarted by the All-American Action Hero.

Also I'm surprised that the Irish are still being stereotyped as the heavy drinkers. Not that I know any Irish people or have ever been to Ireland... Or even an Irish themed bar, but the point is I know many Englishmen who go out most if not every night just to get completely smashed and I seriously wonder how the Irish can be any worse and how we get away with it...

But I must add: my teeth are fine, thank you very much.
