IMs. I like getting IMs, I love talking to my friends. But seriously, every single time I boot up Skyrim, I get a new one. And since Skyrim crashes if I tab out, that means I quit and go check my IMs. I chat for a bit, and things get quiet. After about five-ten minutes of no one talking, I boot up Skyrim again. And instantly get three IMs...

Haha I get that on steam. No one will talk to me all day while I'm online and then, as soon as I decide to load up a game, placing an "away" or "busy" flag up I get swarmed with texts. Then my friends wonder why I'm offline or invisible on chat services.

Yeah, that attitude is what I'm fed up with. I've had my resumé done by professionals, written close to 40 applications in 2 weeks to different companies looking for people and 2 job interviews and no job came out of hours of work. Now that is reason on its own to get pissed, but when people on the internet who doesn't know me claim that the reason I can't get a job is because I'm lazy then I get really pissed. The job market sucks and it's hard to get a job unless you have experience and you can't get experience if you can't get a job.

I wish you the best of luck getting a job, personally I gave up for the time and decided to live on my student loan rather than getting a part time job.

I understand that at the moment my money is paying for the current elderly, but what of me when I'm all old? What have they done to solve this coming shitstorm?

I'm fed up with the term YOLO. YOLO is meant to be used to encourage you to do some outlandish or courageous, or just different that you'd normally never do because of your own personal character, it's not meant to be used to be a moron.

Ah....I know that feeling. When I first came out of college was right when the recession hit. Applied to literally hundreds of jobs. It got to be that I was going to need to take a SECOND job just to AFFORD to go to job interviews across the country.

Just because I earn more doesn't mean I should be charged more. Last time I checked Richard Branson wasn't being charged $5,000 for a loaf of bread just because he earns lots of money.

That it's actually cheaper for me to buy something overseas and have it sent halfway across the goddamn planet, than it is for me to go to the shops 10 minutes from my house and buy it there instead. Games with tiny locked field-of-view settings. Every time I play a game like that I honestly can't help but notice it all the time. A lot of games have them locked at about 65 degrees (e.g. Borderlands), which probably suited older, smaller monitors but it's completely ridiculous and archaic on larger HD monitors (where 80-100 makes more sense). It's like navigating your house with a telescope superglued to your face. What REALLY bugs me about it is how easily it can be fixed: I was so glad Dishonored had a slider for it in the options menu. You can't even claim that it's too hard to implement: frustrum/FOV is a built-in part of graphics middleware, and engines like Unreal have it built in as a console command. Given that most PC games have about 13 different graphics-related sliders it's ridiculous how few of them include one for FOV, considering all the different monitors people use: what looks right for one person can look unrealistically flat and zoomed-in for someone else.

Then that's Mass Effect with double the tits. Granted if you play it like Mass Effect did (Biological explanation, relationships shown as just relationships, fanservicy behaviour relegated to individuals and fanboy wet-dreams), then there's no issue.

It's why I buy all my games from OzGameshop, if local retailers don't want my money then fine, the UK can have it. All the money I save thought goes to the ridiculously overpriced DLC and the Yanks complain about DLC, we pay twice as much as they do.

I've got a few things.

I'm fed up of that "I have no games" feeling. Y'know what I mean. It's been a hard day, and you feel like playing a game. But what? There's a specific feeling you're looking for, and none of the games you have satisfy it. You sit there for ages, on xbox live or simply in your room, waiting for the urge to play a game to turn into an urge to play a specific game. It's really annoying when I feel like playing, say, a pirate action game, with swordplay, free roaming, and cool ship battles. That game doesn't exist, though, not on any console I have, and probably not for a long time.

funny, its complete opposite for me. i come home after a day at work AND unviersity having 1-2 hours of time for gaming, and i need to pick from 20 games i want to play, and so i spend half the time deciding which i want to play more. its so annoying. why can i have focus like those professional gamers, play one game for 8 years without looking at others. oh wait i did that once till it went too far.
as for games that dont exist there are also controled dreaming for it. but yeah if i could make games with my minds power we would have awesome games.

I have to agree, this happens to me all the time. actually i play many games in windowed mode jsut to avoid IM crashes.

well, to be fair, a EU politician accidentaly voted for his colegue sitting nearby - he decided to apoligize by quitting. a US politician deliberaly voted for 7 others trying to psuh his opinion - his pay was cut by 30% and he does not even believe he was guilty.
jut wanted to ilustrate WHY all the hate is there. i agree that politicians are dicks everywhere, but its how they react afterwards that make people go up in arms.

I actually partially disagree partially agree. While I do think it is stupid just to have lesbian couples just to ogle breasts I personally am tired of reading about the struggles of being gay. I just for once wish we could have a story where if there is a black person or a gay person etc where we can just have them be all those things without the sob story. Why can't they just be gay and that be that, no sad back story of prejudice just a character who happens to be gay and it doesn't need to be a spectacle same goes with being black or a woman.

I think these are the reasons sexism and racism etc still continue (partially). We just can't have characters be treated normal it always has to be a deal. When little kids read these things all the time it causes grouping they learn to think of these groups differently instead of fluffing it off like it is a everyday thing.
