The rooms are very similar to that of a hotel room, very well kept and furnished. I would spend an hour trying to find the right words to explain but its far easier for me to do this.
Each person gets there own room, and there own bathroom. Other details are up to you.
And I'm waiting on the others before I do the update, I want everyone's opening before we start.
A small round shape moved amongst the bustling crowds that surrounded the bay. All humanoids that made contact with this strange figure where pushed roughly aside, some even shoved over. As the creature met the docking platforming it emerged from the crowds, straightened up and stared upwards at the vast ship. The little hairy man grunted, apparently unimpressed. Repositioning the large lime green suit case under his arm, the Grel made it's way towards the entrance.
Stopping shortly behind a Nazar having a talk with the guard, the Grel lowered the case to the ground, fidgeting under the hazmat suit he wore. This damn human craftsmanship. How he longed for something with less...cushion. Something rough and real on his fur.
Lowering himself into a kneeling position, Regrel took one last look at his cargo, to check it was safe, as he done many times this day. Lifting the metal lid, he stared down at his equipment. The X13 was fine, just as he'd left it. He lowered his face to it and ran his leathery nose along the length of the deadly metallic cylinder. It was good.
"Hey, you can't get that out here!"
Regrels' snout snapped up in one fluid motion, his eye's connecting with that of the human guard now pointing at him. The guard gulp. Two eye's rested upon his face. One a dark animal eye, void of anything approaching human. The other, however, was a bright vivid blue, it's glass surface reflecting the thousands of ship lights. Regrel said nothing, simply raising one hairy brown finger to the eye. The guard was clever enough to realize this was one of them. He stood to attention. A human may have had a smug smile at this point. Regrel did not.
The raised himself off the ground, closed the lid of the case and entered the ship, passing the guard without another glance. Entering the entrance hall, Regrel fished inside his pocket for his ID. He wasn't sure the eye would work on every body. Trudging up to a large map on the wall, Regrel scanned it with his eyes. His tail lowered ever so slightly. He wasn't sure where to go.
Finally his eye's alighted on the captains quarters. Maybe it was best he should meet the man who would lead him for the next few months. It would be good to know he was running under someone competent.
[spoiler/] this is the only post I'll be able to make tonight. I'll probably only be able to make another tomorrow evening, I have sleep to attend to
EDIT: I know I said I'd made my last post but i realized Regrel was wearing a jumper in space :-/ [/spoiler]
Vfraar's striking green eyes scanned the massive spaceship back and forth, slowly alternating shades as different thoughts and emotions wafted through his head. His head tilted slightly upwards so as to take in the entire view. With his arms behind his back and his legs firmly set firmly at thirty degree angle, metallic claws anchoring him solidly to the platform he stood on to oversee his troop's boarding operations, the Combat Commander looked the epitome of statuesque. Nothing could phase him or cause him to falter, he could have stood there for the rest of eternity if he had so chosen.
"I like it." he said with a nod. "It's a grand vessel, this Great White. I think I'll be quite happy defending it." He finally turned his eyes away from the huge starship, descending the set of stairs behind him, the Grel aide beside him following suite.
"All boarding operations are cleared and underway, sir." the aid said in it's gravelly voice. "Weapons and systems packed and on board, other supplies almost done. Only a few hundred kilos left, and the demolitions."
"Good. Have the demolitions crew begin transport immediately. I want all that equipment on board within the next four hours. Also, tell Regrel to brief the new demo men on our regulations A.S.A.P., we can't have another Tyvinhow, not on this trip." Vfraar rounded the corner of a large loading vehicle, walking up to a female Talonisk wearing a light blue full-body suit and sporting a large plasma rifle on her back. The glowing pad in her hand and the green stripes on her shoulders signified her as the personnel manager.
"Ah, Commander, glad you made it on time. Here's the specials list." She handed him the pad, smiling as he took it, then turned back to the human she was giving orders to. Vfraar surveyed the pad thoughtfully, scrolling up and down. "One of the medics is new to our team, I see. Stevenson. He's in for a treat." He continued to scroll through the list, seeing old friends and new recruits, names that brought back fond memories, and ones that made him cringe. There were altogether too many new people on this trip, too many soldiers he had never worked with before. It had him slightly worried, that such a grand voyage would bring with it so many possibly weak links.
"This new Infiltrator, Rezzea, is she good?" he asked the personnel manager. "The one she's replacing was a complete basik."
"Very. Here's her "portfolio" if you want to see it. She's highly recommended, "top-notch" the feds said." She handed him another pad, which he looked over for a minute before handing it back to her.
"Very good. Make sure all the preparations are made, and begin loading. Squads one through three take the third causeway, not the second, all others take the second. Demolitions are being loaded on the fourth, along with the last of the supplies. Make sure that all the new recruits are ready for briefing no more than thirty six hours after launch."
"Yes sir." She saluted and walked off. Vfraar nodded contentedly, then turned and began his march to the ship, stopping every now and then to double-check with various officers. Two Talonisk bodyguards followed him, along with a mixed group of soldiers who weren't officially bodyguards but were tasked to trail behind him at a distance of no more than fifty yards at all times. A third group, the forward guard, always went a distance ahead of him, staking out the path he would take. All the security was wasted effort, in his mind, but it was regulation and had to be done.
As soon as he entered he was shown to his quarters, a lavish suite on one of the upper decks. Never before had he seen such fancy accommodations on a cruiser of this class, but he wasn't one to complain. All of his effects had already been moved into the room before his arrival, and he had already eaten, so there wasn't much else to do. Flipping on his Air HUD, he began checking the positions and states of all the supplies and troops that still needed to be loaded, as a Nazar female clad in servants garb stepped in.
"Do you wish to be shown any part of the ship, Commander, or would you like to relax?" she said sweetly. "There are some very nice sauna's and bars on the recreation deck that I can recommend to you."
Vfraar switched off the display, considering her for a moment. "Actually, I would like to meet the Captain."
I hope you don't mind if Regrel and Vfraar already know each other? He's the Regrel I mentioned in the fourth paragraph.
Nouw Corien (and his luggage) elegantly made his way to the Human Bridge For Military Sentinel Rank while dodging busy workers; aliens and humans alike. After maneging his way through the maelstrom of a crowd, he cautiously walked up the Titanium Blue Bridge.
"Hello there Sentinel! How May I help you?" The Female Human Bridge Assistant Asked in a soft, enchanting voice.
He quickly wished in his mind that more people ( hopefully female ) had a voice like this. As rare as this encounter was, he decided to reveal his face to her and actually talk in a casual voice.
"I am Nouw Corien, a Sentinel as you already know. I was asked by Zeredare 'Zer' Deredez to join this ship. May I enter?" He quickly but clearly announced.
"Please show your ear-pass."
I say ear-pass because all ears are different so I figured this universe should use most of it
And he did.
The Ear-Pass Scanner analysed the picture, checking for fakes and corruption or infection!
It informed both Assistant and him that is was a pass.
"You may enter, here is the data needed to find your room. From there you will await Zeredare 'Zer' Deredez. In the meantime, you can relax at our many diners or other facilities." She informed
"Thank You, have a good day" He replied.
He then pulled up his luggage and strolled to his room. He carefully navigated through the hallways and finally found his room.
"That took long" He muttered under his breath.
"Hello, I am the manager of this room. Here is the key to it. "Zer" will talk to each and everyone one of you soon. In the meantime, have a nice time at out facilities" He said in a cheery voice
"Will do" He said
"If you need anything, do say so over the COM." He insisted
"Okay." He responded
Nouw entered the Key-Activated Room and saw a marvellous room. It was full of furniture and entertainment. The notable things were the King-Sized bed with top brand pillows and sheets, a Computer, XBOX 2100 ( two controllers ) and a kitchen with a lot of appliances.
He decided to take a shower and have a look around.
After doing said things he decide to start his first log
Code:
*Name: Nouw Corien*
Code:
*Log Number: 001*
Code:
*Date: X/X/X*
Code:
*Location: The Great White ( Spaceship )*
Code:
I'll keep this short as I want to go on the XBOX2100. Exceeds my expectation for a ship, friendly crew and staff, a bit crowded and finally, excellent food.*
Code:
*-END LOG 001*
sorry for doublepost. Its hard to avoid
EDIT: I did as you said e.nuke I hope this is what you mean. I'm a beginner in the field of HTML and the rest, but I'll try not to make a mistake.
If you are doing a log the use [code7]*stuff for log*[/code7] omitting the seven, makes it easier for me to keep track of. For every one line you make you need to the code thing again so it will look something like this.
[code7]*ljlweohkhk*[/code7]
[code7] *gkhskh*[/code7]
And use spoilers even when quoting someone else, I will not give you another warning.
The lady with the clip board quickly scanned over the pages. "Steveson, Steveson" she mutter quietyly as her eye fluttered over the pages. "Ah, Stevenson. Room B216. Second residental floor." She said looking up.
"Thank you" Isaac said as he walked away with his luggage. The halls were fairly crowded. "Smith" Isaac said out loud "Does this ship have a wireless network?"
"Yes sir" His suit's AI told him, with a heavy British accent. To Isaac it sounded very deep and professional. "I'm already connected. You have a long way to your room, sir." Isaac's eye implant showed a map of the ship and directions to get to his room, as Smith fed his implant data.
Fifteen minutes later Isaac openned the door to his room. He took off his jacket and hung it in the closet. Then he put down his two suitcases on the beds. The left suit case carried his stuff: clothes, toiletries, personal items, ect. The right suitcase held his M303 "Hellburst" Rifle. He openned both suitcases and made sure his stuff was still in order. "This is a nice ship. Wonder how it will hold up in a fight" Isaac said out loud.
@Nuke: If I'm helping out with GM-ness, ould you tell me what I'm suposed to be guiding?
[sup]I can't steer the story very well if I don't know where I'm going...[/sup]
Jon wandered slowly along the main entrance deck, jostling with the other passengers. After a while, a sense of irritation overcame his interest, and he began to push his way through the crowed. Those who stood in his way began to slide inexorably sideways
Reaching the reception, he smiled at the woman on duty "Hello Miss," he said with a smile, "I'm Jonathan Shannow, of the Sentinels"
"ID please?" she asked, and he passed it to her. After second, she smiled, "Welcome aboard, sir. Here's your room keys, and a map of the ship"
Jon nodded and took both, despite having no need of a map since he had downloaded a plan upon entry. Making his way up to his room, he put down his bags and sat down on the bed, analysing his own mind, and considering his new place in the world. As a human rather than a simulacrum, he now had full choice over his actions; they we're his and no one else's. With a rising feeling of elation, he began to plan how to best enjoy his new humanity.
Rezzea walked up towards a desk and engaged in conversation with the clerk there.
"I am completely lost, is the commander´s office on this floor?"
"I am sorry ma'am, but the commander's office is on the top floor, this is only the second"
"What's the first?"
"Cargo hold. Now, what is your name and purpose on this ship?"
"I am one of the Sentinels, name's Rezzea"
"Ahh, the female Nazar? Well, your room is right down this hall, turn left and go to door 209, here is a key card"
Rezzea nodded and grabbed the key card.
"When can I have a word with the commander?"
"He will report when he holds the meeting, that is all I know, enjoy your stay"
Rezzea nodded once more and headed for her room.
Upon entering she laid her sheathes on the bed and her gun on the counter by the shower. Then she checked her closet and stripper all her clothes and deployed new ones onto the bed along with her armor.
Afterwards she stepped into the shower for a calming cleanse.
Singing happily to himself, Aza was quick to make himself at home in his new quarters. The Nazar male had rearranged all the furniture in the room, piling it into a corner and was now cleaning his prized HSG sniper rifle, taking it apart and inspecting each individual pieace before putting it back together in an obsessive frenzy, leaving rifle parts scattered all over the room.
Finally satisfied as he clicked the final piece in, he gently placed it on the bed before his stomach suddenly gurgled loudly.
Laughing loudly to himself, he gave the rifle one last rub and then ran out the door.
He had run halfway down the hall when he remembered that it was not proper to be running everywhere.
"Deep breaths" he whispered, as he relaxed his body
His stomach gurgled again, his concentration broken and he once again took off towards the restaurants, this time jogging instead of running
While in the shower Rezzea heard a noise in her room.
"Already?"
She quickly stepped outside and grabbed her pistol.
As she opened the bathroom door, the human who stood in front of her was carrying a bunch of clean towels and sheets for the bed.
Staring down the barrel of a gun he quickly dropped his bearings and gasped.
Rezzea, now realizing her nudity, simply turned around and walked into the bathroom.
"Lay it on the bed and lock the door after you"
She said as she placed her pistol back onto the counter and got dressed.
As she walked outside into the hallway, now fresh after a steamy shower and wearing fresh clothing, she walked towards the restaurants to grab a bite to eat. She took her gun with her, but left the swords in her room. Along with her armor of course.
After finding the restaurants, she picked out one serving human food and sat down to order.
Vfraar settled into his comfy chair in the Commander's Office, eyes scanning the fancy room and the numerous safety measures that were taken to provide him with maximum security. It's almost as though they think I can't take care of myself. he thought bemusedly as he switched on the holo-layer on his desk. After a few waves of the hand and presses of the fingers, he had brought up a basic overview of the Great White's security and sensory systems, with a large red bar to one side that read
Code:
FURTHER ACCESS DENIED
.
To have eyes and ears in every part of the ship, which was crucial for battle analysis and execution, Vfraar would need to be connected directly to those systems, but by law the Combat Commander always had to gain access from the Captain, personally. There were a series of codes and procedures to make sure the person accessing those systems was the right one. With a sigh, he swiveled to the side and pressed a button on a control panel, putting a transmission through to the operators on the bridge. The Captain would probably be there, overseeing the loading of his ship.
"Bridge, this is Combat Commander Vfraar, requesting full system connection, by SSV Regulation 994. Is Captain Zeredare available for transfer?" He waited for a response, hoping that the Nazar would be available. Not only could he get a head start on studying the ship's ins and outs, but he would get a chance to meet his new Captain face to face before the general mayhem of official meetings and introductions started.
Regrel turned away from the map, looking up into the face of a women in federation uniform who smiled down at him.
"No," Regrel said simply "I am not." He pointed one stubby finger behind him at the big red [i/]You are Here[/i] sign on the map. His voice was not what you would expect. It was soft with little to no accent. Every word was pronounced with great delicacy.
"Yes, but do you know where your going?" Said the women, still smiling, apparently unperturbed. "You must be Regrel I presume? There are some quarters make out for you on the second floor. Here, your door pass."
Regrel excepted the strip of metal without comment.
"Oh, and would you please not scare all our officers? You gave that one on the door quite a freight." She wouldn't stop smiling. "I'm also almost certain your weapons were to be packed into the cargo hold several weeks ago. Didn't the men come to pick them up?"
"Yes. I declined." Regrel said shortly. Before she could say another word he stalked away.
It took maybe ten minutes to reach his quarters. Regrel swiped his door pass over the lock.
"Ear-Pass please," said a robotic voice. Regrel grunted, then swiped his ID over the lock too.
"Welcome Sentinel Regrel. May you have a pleasant stay upon the Great White." The doors slid open, revealing the lavishly decorated quarters. The room had obviously been made Grel specific, something Regrel wasn't used to seeing. The ceiling was low and the bed was a lot smaller, as were the doors and storage height. He entered and placed his trunk upon the floor, his eye's setterling on the beautifully made white bed. He placed his paw upon the bed's surface. The duvet sank at his touch, forming a perfect warm casing around his hand.
Regrel pulled his hand away as if he'd been stung. He then raised his nose and sniffed the air. Nothing smelt right in here. Nothing smelt natural. The idea of spending months in this hell hole...
Trying not to think about the long journey ahead, Regrel stripped himself of his hazard suit, revealing his furry body and the spines on his back. Throwing the outfit aside, he opened his trunk, laid his grenade launcher lovingly to one side, then busied himself with his federation uniform.
There was a knock on the door. The Grel straightened up fully clothed and answered. Another, smaller Grel in minor military uniform stood there. Regrels' ear twitched in irritation. This was plainly not a asteroid Grel. Though Regrel had seeked new life amongst the stars he found many of the Grel who were born and raised in the Federation colonies a nuisance at best. There mannerism, the way they held themselves; this was not a Grel. This was a hairy human.
"Yes?"
"Sentinel Regrel sir, I've been sent to find you."
"By who?"
"Combat Commander Vfraar sir, he asks that you give the demomen a prep talk."
Regrel raised his paw to his forehead. Vfraar, I should have known. For a man of battle he certainly liked to talk. But then again everyone did, and at least with Vfraar it usually had relevance. Still, prep talks?
"Take me to Vfraar."
"B-but sir, he wanted me to take you to-"
"I'll speak to your Commander, then we'll see about the demomen. Clear?"
"Umm...Yes sir. Very clear."
"Then move."
[spoiler/] Yorg, when next you post it would be good if Regrel could meet you at one point. Your assisted help is leading him straight to you. [/spoiler]
Aza made his way out of the restaurant area, a parcel of food under each arm. He did not mean any disrespect to the fine chiefs and cooks but he wanted his FIG scanner in order to ensure the food he had ordered was actually edible.
He shifted his right arm uncomfortably as he made his way back to his room.
Perhaps he should get his other arm replaced as well? It would certainly improve transportation of goods and his overall strength...but the cost of replacing another limb was just too much right now
