Did they keep the aimable cannon or did they replace it with one of those star...things? What about the owl?
If he hasn't hooked yet, I doubt any other Mario game will have a better chance. Do yourself a favor and skip this title because you seem to keep playing in the hopes that you will see what everyone else sees in Mario but it just doesn't appeal to you. Listen to what your brain is telling you and don't buy this game.Onyx Oblivion said:I've never liked any of the Mario games. Galaxy 2 is Mario's last chance to hook me.
Spoken like someone who stopped playing Mario games after the 64 version. When Nintendo releases a new Mario game, it is like adding chipotle to fried chicken. Fried chicken was already awesome then they made it even better.AngryMongoose said:I think what's happening here is they've realised that the Mario games are so repetive that they could probably get away with just releasing mario 64 again (again) and noone will notice.
This is why I kept my Wii. I agree, my brother's stopped playing Super Mario Galaxy because he said he'd "finish it too fast."Xzi said:Bah, this is the first time I regret selling my Wii. Galaxy was in-freaking-credible, albeit a bit too easy.
Or, you know, they could actually remake the level for the new console, rather than just copy-pasting N64 geometry with high-res textures that just underline how blocky everything looks and a Mario sprite that doesn't even look like it belongs in the same game. This is just a ported level because they couldn't be bothered to make a new one. Though they managed to make the collapsing blocks look worse, so, um, kudos.PS2MAN said:I find it cheap that Nintendo are repackaging old content as new yet again. If I wanted to play that level again I'd dig out SM64. Whole idea of a new game is to make it new, not old. It saddens me that you fanboi's eat the shit they serve you.
