We had an elevator for students that couldn't use the stairs (wheel chair, broken legs, etc.) and people would try to sell elevator keys to the freshmen. Another one that the band did was tell freshmen at our first football game of the year that the plume on their hats was backwards. It was kind of a lame one, but it was still funny to watch people freak out about whether or not their plume was the right direction even though it didn't matter.
Edit: Their was also a rumor my senior year that a female PE teacher (who quit very suddenly) had sex with a male student and the principal walked in and caught them, but I'm pretty sure that was a load of bull and the teacher quit because the principal was horrible to her. There was also a sex tape of two freshmen floating around, but I never saw it so I don't know if it's true. School scandals!

Our school also "has" a pool. On the staircase near the foriegn Language calss rooms there is a set of stairs that goes up to the "fourth" floor. all sorts of rumours abounded about what was up there. (students weren't allowed, obviously) The most recent one was that there was a pool for the water polo and swim teams to practice in.
There was a rumor that my High School was built on a fault line. Mostly we accepted it as a rumor. Then one day our geography teach confirmed it by walking us along a hairline crack that spanned the length of the school, and then picked up in the auditorium next door.
My school is suposedly haunted, but nothing out of the ordinary has ever happened to me or anyone I know there.

Where I am, right now, is where a morgue used to be, not to mention the college's namesake. And another ghost who doesn't like mirrors. This most recent mirror installed in her room has lasted over a year: longer than it has ever lasted, at least in the past decade or two.

At my sisters all girl school they once found a caretaker in the P.E. (sports) lockup that was essentially a basement under the main school. HE was wearing a girl's sports uniform... he was shortly fired.
Also there had been rumours of a ghost at my sisters school, with many people saying they'd seen it. Of an old teacher that had died there 50 years ago or something.
As for my school, well, we use to have 2 teachers actually live on the campus in an old house before it got torn down, and was always rumours afoot of what went on in that house. Raving parties and what not.
Oh and just remembered, we had night security guard die in the lake at the edge of the school grounds. Was eventually found that he simply had a heart attack while patrolling the borders, but was very suspicious as he wasnt very old.
