As a big fan of Fire Emblem, I'm so very glad to see some new characters from the series joining Smash! I hope Chrom is a fleshed out character in his own right! The video was great, however that just like Awakening, I hope SSB4 will offer Japanese language audio as an option; especially for characters like those from Fire Emblem who have more speaking parts, it would be nice to see.
At the moment I don't own a Wii U (though, I do have a 3DS from quite some time ago) and as tempting as it is to see titles like Hyrule Musou and SSB4, I'm not sure I can justify it for a handful of purchases. I know some consider it blasphemy, but titles like these are a reason that I'd love to see Nintendo start making games for the PC. Can you imagine the success of SSB4 offered for sale on Steam, for instance? It would be orders of magnitude beyond those playing exclusively on Wii U!I'd much rather see Nintendo become a software and peripheral company catering to the PC instead of foisting their own offering in a console marketplace that fosters toxicity and proprietary lockdown. Imagine if Nintendo and Valve partnered for a SteamBox / SteamOS PC that included codes for some of Nintendo's biggest titles?!
The time has come to put an end to console exclusives in my mind and it seems that titles like Nintendo's SSB4 would be a prime beneficiary of moving onto open, PC platforms.
