Ryan considered the words for a moment. This "man", as he would refer to him for the time being, could be here to capture them, or kill them, or spy on them, or all three. Or his story could be true, maybe he really didn't know who he was, and was just looking for help. He couldn't see anything in the person's demeanor or attitude that suggested either way, in fact the man's face was quite expressionless, and his body language gave away almost as much emotion as a log. He got the impression that this guy would make the perfect liar.
For some reason, though, Ryan felt that he should believe him. He knew all too well that feelings could betray you, however, so it wouldn't hurt to still be cautious. He eyed the man darkly for another few seconds before answering.
"Alright. You can come in. But i'm watching you, so don't try anything." He doubted whether or not he really would be able to stop this guy if he tried something, but there were two of them, and one of him, so if worst came to worst, they'd stand a fighting chance. At least for long enough to let her run.
He opened the door and stepped to the side, letting the man in, then shut the door and walked closely behind him. "Have a seat" he motioned to one of the chairs to the right of the couch, near the window. It was on the far side of the room, so he and Amy would be between the man and the nearest exit, and the man would be close to a several-story fall. He figured it was the best setup.
He sat down on the right side of the couch, then glanced at the bedroom door with a reassuring look.
