Ryan chuckled at the comment. "My name's Ryan Strias. Oh, and you won't need to worry about that. My life is fairly bizarre at the moment as well." He looked back at the crowd of people and policemen. One of the cops had noticed them, and was walking in their direction. "Crap.." he muttered under his breath. "Look as scared as you can." He realized the absurdity of that, given the recent events, and couldn't help but chide himself inside.

"You there, yea you two. You know anything bout' what happened here?" the cop asked, shining his light in their faces.

"Uh no, we saw a flash, and there was a loud noise... i think it was an explosion!" he acted as much like a stunned civilian as he could, but he was no actor. For a moment he feared the cop might not buy it.

"Uh-huh. One of them over there say they saw you come out of the alleyway. May i ask what you two were doin back there?

Ryan stared with his mouth open for a second, mind racing. Checking the walls? Killing rats? Catching a stray cat? Looking for a lost earing? What could the two of them conceivably have been... shit. "Uhhh..." He stared for another moment, then shut his mouth and stepped up to the cop, whispering something to him. The cop straitened up and glanced at the girl, then looked back at Ryan. "Right. You two can just be on your way."

Ryan turned back to her, face turning a bit red. He hoped to god she hadn't heard that.

"C'mon, i'll walk you home." he said stiffly.

Amy blinked blearily, confused and tired. She looked over her shoulder and watched the police man walk away as she followed Ryan. "That was close... What-" She was about to ask what he had whispered into the cop's ear, when the redness in his face and the unease in his voice answered that question for her.

A sense of discomfort and suspicion washed over her as the two walked through the mildly crowded street toward the glowing set of red streetlights. One civilian had seen them walk from the scene of the crime- what if another were to follow them? She hurried to walk closely to Ryan, confident she had found someone she could trust.

"If you hadn't noticed, bizarre is a completely different matter in my life," Amy said with a grim smile. She paused. "Unless...?" She looked up at Ryan, combing a hand through her hair by habit.

"Unless... what?" He looked down at her as they neared the intersection. "Unless i can shoot giant rays of bright, searing, all-consuming supernova light out of my body as well?" He laughed, like he hadn't done in a long while. It felt good. "No, no, nothing quite that spectacular." He stopped next to the streetlight, and then, looking around briefly to make sure nobody was watching, picked up a paper coffee cup someone had dropped on the pavement.

He held it there for a moment, then it suddenly melted down into a gelatinous white blob in his hand. He twirled it around, making it do little circles and spins in the air above his hand, while attached by a thin string to his palm. Then he reached up and pressed it to his forehead. It then proceeded to travel across his face, down his neck, under his shirt, down his arm, and back out onto his hand again. He grinned, then tossed it up in the air, where it instantaneously morphed back into a little white coffee cup, and landed back on the ground. The surprised look on her face was priceless. And also very cute... he thought to himself.

He knew he was showing off, but he liked it. He had never shown anyone his "power" before, and he wasn't sure why he had shown her, besides the obvious fact that she too had one. It was just... fun.

Amy watched, stunned. An odd warmth rose within her chest, a sense of belonging. Aside from the obvious Supergirl who she had seen on the news stations, she was no longer alone. He had these amazing gifts as well! She continued to stare at the little cup on the ground as they crossed the street.

"I... I don't believe it!" She beamed, struggling to conceal her glee as they passed the line of patiently waiting cars- in one of which, a dark sedan, a man eerily watched the pair.

"I've moved from city to city, school to school, every time these... incidents occur. But you have such control over yours!" She smiled shyly, looking downward. "Then there's me, exploding every time I'm the littlest bit scared..."

They approached the tall heavy door of the building, and Amy dug into her shorts pocket for her key. Good thing I didn't keep it in my purse. Leaning against the door, she unlocked it, opened it slightly, then turned to Ryan.

"Thank you, for your help- really. I... don't suppose you'd want to come inside?" She was intrigued by his powers, hungering for more. Of course, there were other reasons she wanted him around, but that one made the most sense at the moment.

"Hey, don't worry about it. It takes time." He said as they reached her apartment. She got out her keys and unlocked the door, then turned back to Ryan. "Thank you, for your help- really." He was about to respond, when the second part of her sentence caught him completely off guard. He froze, as usual.

Come inside? Like, into her apartment? With her? Ryan had never been a ladies man, and had only been in a few relationships, none of which led to anything serious. He had been adventurous in highschool, of course, so he was no stranger to... things, but he definitely wasn't what he would consider "experienced", with relationships or sex. But of course, that's probably the very last thing on her mind, i'm sure, i mean, after what just happened. She probably just wants to talk. Which is exactly what we'll do. Talk. About our superness, and stuff.

But then again what if that's not what happens? Do i really want that right now, or need it? Oh c'mon man you're seriously gonna be like that? This is a golden opportunity! Take it! But then again i wouldn't want to like, take advantage, or anything like that...

"Uhhh... sure, ok."

Amy smiled wearily, pushing the door open fully and stepping inside the dimly lit hallway. An elevator with an elegant iron gate carted them upward, wobbling slightly. Upon reaching the fifth floor, it jolted to a halt and clanged open, revealing a tastefully tan-coloured hallway filled with round mirrors and foreign plants on wooden shelves. The apartment had been converted from some type of studio, and her floor was one of the three special layouts. A single door sat at the end of the hallway, which Amy walked up to and unlocked with a second key.

The interior matched outside, and was decorated nicely in both a modern and antique sense, bearing things from modernistic African carvings, to an old-looking dagger, possibly Persian or Greek. Of course, a fair-sized television sat on one wall, facing a kitchen across the room with a big white sofa in between.

"Would you like some coffee, or tea or anything? Sorry, but I'm starving." She casually slipped out of her sandals, leaving them on an Indian doormat rug, before moving into the kitchen, her bare feet slapping softly against the wooden floor. She put on a kettle and reached into a cupboard, pulling out a box of crackers and munching on one before turning on the television with a remote that sat on the kitchen counter. It landed on the news.

She eyed him oddly, perhaps wondering what else he could turn into playful little blobs.

"Yea, some tea would be nice. If i could have some of those crackers too, that would be great. I didn't get to finish my dinner tonight." He took a few crackers out of the box she offered him, then sat down on the sofa, looking around at the apartment. It wasn't really his style, but it was nice. A very relaxing environment, that was beginning to alleviate his nervousness.

He glanced at the tv, where the breaking news was showing an aerial shot of the charred, teetering buildings and the blown-up trash bin. There were a few videos showing the supergirl exiting the premises, but thankfully none showed him or Amy walking out of the alley, or her "dazzling" performance.

"So, if you don't mind me asking, what all do you know about your "specialty? Like, what is it?"

Amy reached into a metal tin and yanked out a couple of teabags, placing them in some rather plain mugs before leaning over the counter, watching the television over Ryan's shoulder. She sighed quietly through her nose and then replied.

"I'm still not really sure. The attacks have been happening since I was about eight years old. I was separated from my dad Disneyland. Frightened, I hid in one of the rides, and began to panic. Afterward, the Small World just got a little smaller after all." She smiled shrewdly, and tilted her head. It left me in a coma for two days. It's gotten easier to manage with age, but... still, it's hard to control and often random, unless provoked."

She turned away, her back pressed against the counter, and ran her hands nervously through her hair again, tying the long strands into a braid that draped casually over one shoulder. "'It'... I don't even know what 'it' is. I just know that... when it happens... I feel like I'm burning. Like I'm burning, and... that everything else should, too." She glanced at the television, at the destruction, before picking up the boiling kettle and pouring the water.

Picking up both mugs and carrying the rest of the box of crackers under her arm, she carried them over to a coffee table in front of the sofa and Ryan, and placed them gently, eying a violin propped upward in one corner. "My dad would always call me a star when I was little... Maybe he was right."

Feeling as though she had stepped too far into the personal realm, she cleared her throat and turned to Ryan with her tea in hand. "What about you? How do you control your... what you do? How do you summon it?" she interrogated, sipping innocently from her mug.

I must be off to bed. Goodnight! Will resume posting tomorrow.

"I can make things explosive," Chris smiled intently, "never really found a use for it other than demolition," he laughs lightly slumping into the limo further.

"What about you?" he asks the man that just popped into the limo.

Ray looks over at Chris "dark energy, at least that what i think it is....it blew some thugs head off earlier" Ray nervously said "also flying and minion summoning, i think there might be some other power's, but im not sure, i only developed these abilities this morning." Ray looks throughout the limo he see's the various hero's staring at him, the dust covered jacket and aviator's were rather eye catching and the smell of smoke surrounded his body "so....im Ray, nice to meet you all in a *non* hostile environment" Ray jokingly say's

Shifty got of the train in a suit made of himself and quickly walked up to street level. Shifty started walking around aimlessly but while walking down an ally he saw a bright light coming from a nearby turn-off leading towards the street. As he moved closer his skin started to feel hotter as he got closer he could feel his skin instinctually changing to over come the strange burning light. As he turned the corner he saw a intensely bright light and then black. . .

When he woke up he ran out into the ally but was stopped by a police officer, he quickly put together a face and got a fake badge out, carefully making shure it was a detective's badge. Shifty held up the badge to the officer the officer, obviously pleased that someone higher in rank than him came to take over, said "Ok, I've sealed off the area and my partner is questioning some people..." shifty did not wait to hear anything else the officer had to say and walked off, seeing the officer's partner questioning two people one was a young man with black hair in faded blue jeans and a brown hoodie, the other was a young lady, attractive around the same age with long blonde hair in a pair of denim shorts and a black V-neck short-sleeved T-shirt with a hood attached. The young man whispered something in the officers ear and the officer quickly let then leave. Shifty walked as fast as he could without causing suspision but did not catch up with them, and they entered a building that looked like a apartment complexe. Shifty walked up to the door they had just gorn through and morphed his finger into the door's lock and opened the lock. As he steped inside he saw the two people he had been following go up an elevator, he made a mental note of the floor number and when the elevator finally came down he went up to the same floor. When he got to the top he saw a tan-coloured hallway filled with round mirrors and plants on wooden shelves. Shifty walked towards the door at the end of the hallway and knocked three times.

"Well, I'm not sure how I do it... I kind of just, will it to happen, or something. Hard to explain." He took a sip of tea. "As for what "It" is, I'm not really sure of that either. I guess it has something to do with changing the molecules... or atoms..." he waved his hand in the air vaguely, "...or something like that." Rayn smiled sheepishly. "Sorry, i was never very good at science." He took another sip of tea, then grabbed a cracker, munching on it thoughtfully. "As far as i know, i can "liquefy" any solid object that comes into contact with my skin, except living things, like people or animals. I tried it on a snail once, and nothing happened, so I'm not sure about that."

"So anyway, right now i could liquefy this couch," he laid a hand on the the couch's arm, " this mug, my shirt, my pants, my jacket, my socks, and my shoes. So if i need to, i can feasibly make any object i bump into touch my skin by making a hole in my clothing. It wold probably be easier to just go shirtless and wear shorts though, if i was gonna have to rely on my powers to deflect bullets, or something."

He paused, grabbing another cracker out of the bag. He held it up for her to see, then liquefied it. It bubbled around in his hand for a moment, before he grabbed each end of it and tore it in half. "I can also break any object that i liquefy, simply by pulling it apart." He let the two pieces of blob fall, and then both turned back into their own respective halves of the cracker. "I could do that with desks, chairs, metal bars, or cars if i wanted to. Of course, the bigger the object the harder it would be." He smiled. "Tell me if I'm rambling. I don't want to bore you."

At that moment there was a knock on the door. Instantly the uneasiness swept back into the room. Had someone followed them?

"Uhhh... you want me to get that?" He asked, while setting the mug down and standing up.

Amy sat and watched in silence as he manipulated the cracker, and tore it in half. The news that he was unable to do this to people was reassuring- she had no reason to fear being split in half in the very same way. Although she couldn't help but wonder what it would feel like to be a shapeless blob.

"You're not rambling," she said as he finished his explanation. "You're more help than anyone else has been for me in a while." Amy smiled warmly, feeling another warmth on her face- the sunlight fell across both of them as they sat on the couch, heating them comfortably.

The loud knocks jolted her away from the pleasantries and she turned to stare at the door. She froze, then looked at Ryan with wide eyes.

"Someone might have seen us- both of us- and our little display," she said, suddenly wishing that Ryan had at least waited until they were inside before revealing his incredible abilities. "We can-"

In mid-sentence, a small golden cloud of light drifted from her mouth and upward- it seemed to be painless, as Amy didn't seem to notice until it rose in front of her eyes. It moved as any cloud would- rising and rising, before vanishing among the air. She slapped her hands over her mouth.

"Discharge," she whispered after a moment, lowering her hands slightly. She stared out the window. "The sunlight- it's like photosynthesis, I'm regaining my ability." She rose silently but swiftly, looking from Ryan, to the door, to Ryan again. "I'm sorry- can you answer the door? It might just be my neighbour." She inched toward a nearby door- presumably the bedroom- and stood inside, watching through a crack in the door. She looked at him pleadingly, ready to hide as the front door would open.

Ryan nodded, then turned and walked towards the door, fingering the cellphone and keys in his left pocket. His heart beat faster as he neared the door. He had never been in a real fight before. What if he had to do it now? Of course it was probably nothing, just a neighbor. He reached the door and grabbed the handle, feeling the cold metal against his palm. He turned it, then slowly opened the door about halfway, making sure to place his other hand on the smooth wood.

A normal looking man in a business suit stood outside. There was something weird about him though, he looked almost stiff, and there was no visible expression on his face.

"Yea?" Ryan asked, his left hand pressed firmly against the back of the door, and two holes forming in the bottom of his shoes.

After a few minutes of awkward silence the limo finally came to a stop.

"We're here!" Blair exclaimed joyfully.

The driver exited the car and opened the door for the passengers to exit. Blair quickly stepped out and was greeted by the door man.

"Hello Ms. Blair. Your suite has been filled with food and other things of that nature to welcome your guest."
"Thank you."

Blair led the small group of heroes to the 33rd floor of the high rise apartments. They walked down a wide hallway until finally stopping at a door marked 190F. Blair retrieved the key from her purse and opened the door.

Inside the large and luxurious apartment was filled with expensive furniture and appliances. The view overlooked all of New York city.

"Make yourselves comfortable."

"The recording we took. Just before the studio was attacked. If we can show these supers the recording they might straighten out. It'll make things so much easier." The sandwich was finished and she bit into it with a satisfied groan. "Just a thought."

James whistled appreciatively as he walked into the apartment's opulent surrounds. Propping the crowbar up against the sofa, he looked out of the high-rise window, smiling as he saw a line of yellow taxi's stretching into the distance.

"Niiiice, very nice."

He turned back to the others, hearing their questions for Blair.
