Aren't runners technically messengers? I mean, they're supposed to be hired to carry information, thus circumventing the whole Big Brother thing the government's got going on. Furthermore, in the end cutscene, Jacknife says something like:

It's classic warfare; Shoot the messengers.

Not that I got it wrong, or anything, just that was a tad ambiguous, and could be conceived as a correct answer.

As for the favorite - don't know. I've only played a handful of games where any character struck me as completely and undeniably awesome. As of yet, there wasn't a female character i could truly call the best of the best among the best.

It might have been Faith from the aforementioned Mirror's Edge, though.
