Oh look, faux-hipster-irony. Cliché-ridden, done-to-death hack work that exists only for the hey-look-at-me mental masturbation of its author and contributing more spew onto the "hey, let's make fun of people who make fun of stuff that's popular!" meme.

F Minus Minus, David Hill. I've seen keener funny bones on the person of network executives who greenlight stuff like "Shit My Dad Says" to be sitcoms.
You know, I thought I'd never agree with your snarky and verbose comments, but in this case, I'm in full agreement.
Are you Roger Federer? Because that compliment had one hell of a backhand.

Quite amusing. I know people like this, so it's particularly funny to me.

Side note: did anyone else actually bother to notice that he only lists nine reasons, and skipped over number 5?

Made me laugh. Good job using Pacman's birthday to make a statement about what is wrong with some views on modern gaming.

It's just this simple. If you have fun playing an ancienct relic like Pacman on Google, what do you really want from modern games?

I hope to God my Sarcasmograph is just broken and he's not being series or else he's a fucktard.
Why? in many ways he does actually have a point. Having said that, pac man is only good to pass the time and no longer has a holding effect. I cant say i hate it, nor would i be as silly to suggest that it should "die in a fire" as the OP suggests, but i cant deny that it has lost much of its appeal compared to the games of today. Even a basic Flash game can have a lot more appeal.

Clearly, it's supposed to be a joke.

I wish it were at least a funny one.
I don't think the joke is the piece itself which I agree isn't very funny, for me the joke lies in the response to it. Which is actually proving to be pretty damn funny. Watching people fall for blatantly obvious trolling/satire never ceases to amuse me.

It's not elitism to dislike it, it's elitism to make fun of it and bash it repeatedly because it's "low brow"
They weren't bashing it because it was "low brow", they were bashing it because it isn't funny and has this terrible air of some hipster shit trying so desperately to gather attention from being ironic. This isn't low brow- it just isn't funny.

And the point about B&BH was that that show knows it's goddamn stupid, but we're all quite sure the writer of this piece thinks it's all very clever and witty.
Seriously, what the hell does "Hipster" mean. It sounds like you're condemning the joke because you believe the writer to fall into an undesirable group of people.

Sounds elitist to me.

Once you gave me the idea I had to do it:

...Er, sorry it's not colored, but I'm out of time-- I have to go to work.

That's intentional.

The piece was commentary about the state of game journalism. Part of that is editing. So yes, I intentionally skipped a number. I was curious if anyone would notice it.

OT: Not funny.
