Not really, no. As a player primarily of 4X and RTS games, a few RPGs on the side with a couple of indie titles like FTL and Minecraft, consoles have very little in the way of exclusives I'm interested in - with the few attempts at RTS or 4X games on them having failed pathetically, RPGs easily controlling better on the PC [Note: RPG, not action RPG] and generally being released on PC as well, and the few indie games I am interested in being on the PC.Angry Juju said:You are able to play more than one game on an Xbox, and unless you hardly play any games anyway, I can guarantee everyone has at least one console exclusive that they would want if they owned a console.
What exactly did we get promised other then more content for the game? Seriously other then the bosses, the hardmode and a general promise for more content all of which we got, I don't remember any other promises. I'll agree that the source code would be nice but I don't see why that's an argument point as to why he can't provide a multiplatform release.GAunderrated said:When you go out of your way to alienate your main base to make a quick buck.lord.jeff said:How is someone a sellout for allow more people to have a chance of playing his game?
Since the dev is done with the PC version with no updates, why not release the source code so people can make mods? Why make promises and then not keep them. Why bait current fans then give them the finger? Because he is a sellout and a bit of a dick.
To be honest if he just let people make mods no one would give a crap. It's because people love terraria and because it had so much potential that people are pissed that he purposly left it handicapped.
This is where your argument falls apart. No offense but no PC players give two craps that it is going multiplatform. People keep saying it over and over but people like you just keep repeating that all they care about is keeping it PC exclusive which is so wrong its getting a bit like stereotyping.lord.jeff said:I'll agree that the source code would be nice but I don't see why that's an argument point as to why he can't provide a multiplatform release.GAunderrated said:When you go out of your way to alienate your main base to make a quick buck.lord.jeff said:How is someone a sellout for allow more people to have a chance of playing his game?

If the source code was the issue then why is this shitstorm suddenly happening now, not when he ended updates? Also I'd much prefer my other question addressed more, what exactly did we get promised other then more content for the game?GAunderrated said:This is where your argument falls apart. They are upset by the way redigit just cut and ran after 1.1, said he was done with terraria, then got everyone hyped at this big terraria news, then revealed that another platform is getting exclusive content when the only ones who would be excited about the news initially were PC fans. If the consoles were getting the same content no one would give two craps but its the way terraria's development ended then see another platform get the content when you get the finger.
Do you have a reading disorder that I am not aware of? You completely ignored my entire post to hammer away at two points that had nothing to do with my post. You are either quite ignorant or a troll. Either way I am not going out of my way to research information for someone who doesn't have the decency to actually respond to what I typed in the first place so please by all means if it means that much to you find it yourself. I will give you a tip though. http://www.terrariaonline.com/members/redigit.9411/recent-content
That sounds more lie being bad at PR more then being a sellout. They are upset by the way redigit just cut and ran after 1.1, said he was done with terraria, then got everyone hyped at this big terraria news, then revealed that another platform is getting exclusive content when the only ones who would be excited about the news initially were PC fans.
He isn't the one making the content, would you prefer he just told 505 Games that they could touch his game in any way other then porting it?If the consoles were getting the same content no one would give two craps but its the way terraria's development ended then see another platform get the content when you get the finger.
You're missing the point dude. He's refusing to release mod tools, that's the biggest problem.lord.jeff said:SNIP
I do think he should release the dev tools as well, I just wouldn't go as far as to call him a sellout for because of the console release.NotALiberal said:You're missing the point dude. He's refusing to release mod tools, that's the biggest problem.lord.jeff said:SNIP
He's done with the game, why doesn't he just release the game to the fans?
