You don't actually ENTER the codes.. you type them randomly on the page and the change should just occur. You don't actually enter the codes into a box or anything, just randomly on the page without anything highlighted.
I am really confused now. What is the stuff about words changing colors and pages? I don't understand how that is related to any games.
Try entering the on the page, not in the text box or anything.

Mode Note - More facepalm on answer give away

I already knew the cipher I needed but I was trying to use the cipher on my own and was having no luck. Then someone showed me a website that does it for you... Doi >.<

DAY 4 HINTS [To all who still can't seem to get the answers because it's Hard] Unlike last time where I posted Hints, they were to easy and I was scolded so i'm going to post Hints that aren't easy but still helpful for Day 4:

4-1 Type codes on your keyboard for the words to change and turn into colors. There is red, green, and blue. Once you got the numbers down, (which is just jumbled letters together) Hince - the codes are about being Godly in the three games

4-2 Use the places one group at a time to locate on Google Map "Directions" and link the roads as you go along. Once you do, it should lead to one destination and thus you compare the destination with the game. Hince - the game isn't new and been released awhile back so don't look on Yahtzee or reviews

Thank you everyone (especially my friends and you know who you are) for helping me out...without you i'd be clueless and stuck, my efforts wasted and I'd not get that Badge I worked so hard on. Please take your time too! The date's not do till December 20th at Noon.

((NOTE)) If I made the Hints to obvious or easy, let me know my messaging me and I'll tweak them. I did my best to make them helpful yet at the same time not a "give away" like I did for Day 3. God Bless all!
I don't think those are too obvious. They're helpful though possibly the mods may have qualms with you posting the website to break the code. I don't know how their brain works.
In my personal opinion, these are fine, unlike gfmbhsmo's obvious hint...

Does "no amount of plotting" mean "Don't bother plotting those places of google maps"?
Thats what I was thinking. It can't just be the coordinates, has to be something about the words.
I'm thinking that mayyybe the points in each country spells out a letter? Or something?
I dunno, I tried Canada and it looks like a rectangle.
You have to remember to trace in the order of the points. i.e. 1 to 2 to 3...
That helped a lot, think I'm onto something now...very busy with
mutliplotter.com
right now.

EDIT: 4-2 is much much more tedious than it is hard. Haven't got 4-1 yet but already feel stupid for not getting the clue in the instruction -.-

YES, NOW I'VE DONE #1 AS WELL! =DDD

Here's a handy clue:

You're looking for the PC versions of the codes. I spent a long time looking at the wrong version of Doom, wondering why the cheats weren't working.

Also, for those of you having trouble with the Starcraft cheat, you don't necessarily need it. The Contra and Doom cheats will get you as far as you need to be. Then, you can use Wikipedia.

Many many thanks all, I've gotten 4-2 now, but...
the name of the series makes me think of pepper spray, and
while I've answered all of these riddles so far, I haven't played any of these games, won't play some of these games, and hadn't even heard of a couple of them until this whole thing began.

There's some sort of complain or statement or something in the preceding text, but it's 3:30 am here, and I don't know what it was...so...erm...g'night.

Thanks for assistance on 4-1. Done done and done on that one. Although...
I'd have put three different shifts on the Caesar bit myself.

4.2, I've gotten to the pinpoint, but I am completely lost on what it means.

Still haven't played any of these games what are the answers to these enigmas.
Where exactly is that place? A famous incident happened there before.
I know where it is, and what happened there, but the relevance is passing me by without even waving hello.
Here. these may help in your hour of need

Damn 4-1 was tricky!! I never found out what the 2nd code was but I didn't need it in the end.

4-2 was a lucky stab in the dark on my part.

Brutal puzzles though.

Addendum for me:

It was the Contra Code I had a hell time with. I was able to puzzle it out after getting the other two to go off, though.

Whoops. I screwed up.

The Contra code is for the NES version. The Starcraft code (which doesn't work for some) is PC, and so is the Doom code.

Finally got it! Cant believe it took me so long on the first game... I freaking LOVE that game.

And by the way, for those of you who were saying that it's tough to...
...see the blue letters...

...same here. I didn't need them, though. If you...
use the right cypher shift, you'll be able to get the first two words of the title. From there, you should be able to figure it out, as it's the most recent in its series. (that was a hint. ^_^ )

I read your spoiler, and 4-2 clicked. Many thanks. I can sleep now. :D

I think the problem people are having with the Starcraft code is that
you have to type the space.

For those of which the blue letters are not working, I'm going to assume that you have entered the proper codes, but am burying this in several spoiler layers. I hope, dear moderators, that this is fair.

Also, after going to bed and being left to puzzle over 4-2's ultimate solution, it turns out that
if you back up a little bit, things become clearer. Searching for places and games at the same time yields positive results.

Done - with mixed feelings. 4-2 was just tedious, and 4-1 I never would have figured out until I was told flat-out that it's all about
the cheat codes. Still spent quite some time looking for them. And that shifty cipher...I'd heard of it, but wouldn't've dug up that info on my own.
That one was very nicely done, though.
Still...I'm pretty much indifferent about day 5 now.
