From the official rules:

"Voting for the Viewer's Choice will start the week of November 1st and last through Sunday, November 7th. The winner will be chosen the week of November 8th"

So, I'm assuming that the gallery will be up on Monday (Nov. 1st) for voting to start. I can't wait to see all the vids.

Now it slowly dawns on me that I have to wait more than a week to learn the results of my entry. For only a moment, I felt such relief that I was finished, but 'tis fleeting.

Well at least come November 1st we get to watch everything that everyone did. I have heard after effects mentioned more then once, that leads me to believe we have some contestants making some visually interesting videos.

Well, I hope to see lots of good videos. The more good ideas, the more likely we are to see something awesome. Monday can't get here soon enough!

My condolences, good sir. Getting reliable people to work with is the biggest problem with undertaking awesome video projects.
Indeed, thanks. At least it wasn't nearly as bad as last year; I can't count all the things that went wrong then!

And to Vignette: Blaugh, I'm surprised you remember that! Anyway, last time it was just me and Patrick and I did all the work. I did almost everything again this year, but I did get two more guys to act and there was less fail involved all-around. :p

Dang something tells me this is going to be an awesome year! I'm really excited to see everybody's videos! I bet this is gonna be a close one.

I remember you from Kounter (I believe that's how it was spelled) last year, can't wait to see what you've done this year.

Well we decided to not do another debate/news type show. Also, despite my best efforts I could never get that green screen to work. So Alex and I got a new camera, wrote a script, got a group of people to help out for a fictional show. We call it 'BETA', but I want to keep the story to myself so that everyone can enjoy it when they see it.

However, what I can say is that we have 'Reese Eveneshen' and 'Justin Dmitruk' as actors in it. They are the two creators of the indi film 'Dead Genesis'. They are really close friends, and together we all acted in this thing. They have there own IMDB pages for the projects they have worked on if you want to see more stuff they made. Here is there latest film, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1650516/

(Fyi, I made the snazzy title graphics for this trailer!)

Hope you all do well guys... ON OPPOSITE DAY! OOOOOOOHHH!
Oh ho, seriously though guys, really hope you all do well. Can't wait to see the entries. Excitement doesn't describe the feeling I've got.

Quick question though; Is anyone having issues uploading? I'm not getting any form of loading bar and it's not filling me with confidence so much. Is there any other way to upload it at all?

I think that link is the only way to upload. But don't worry about an upload bar, there isn't one. Just wait a while and it should give you an upload completed page.

Ah, fair enough. Thanks guys, any rough estimation on times it's taken to upload for people so far?

EDIT: Rock 'n Roll, email confirmation after I sent in the 300px image. I'm 94% psyched, 6% terrified.

I haven't had time to create a thumbnail :(

Is it essential for entering the competition as I've not gotten any conformation that my entry is in ok?

I uploaded my video today. It was 96meg and took about 10-12 minutes i reckon ( wasnt timing, but i roughly started at 5pm and it finished about quarter past at the latest)

So just hang in there with the uploads. Leave the page open and doing its thing and it will work. You get a lovely confirmation screen that makes you all fuzzy inside........ just knowing it got there safely that is. Nothing actually special about the screen itself.

On a sidenote, dont spose us peons can get confirmation that the upload was successful, could we please mr.moderators?

I know i got a confirmation page to say it did, but after working for 3 weeks on my animation, id blow the last remaining braincell i have if i found out the confirmation page was a cake.err... i mean a lie.

:)

Actually, I know I got a conformation on the video. But if the thumbnail didn't go in properly I would be more then happy to send in another one.

Hey, another animator! Good luck to ya man, I spent about the same amount of time working on my animation.
