Some art.

A bit of grafitti I made for the Crackdown 2 grafitti contest.

I've started making some reaction images with my avatar. I plan on using them to make points occasionally.

LOLZombie came about because There's a thing on DeviantArt called DeviantDead which is a zombie style OC tournament, I didn't enter the actual tournament, but they asked for some designs of Zombies walking, Well I could certainly stretch for a design, so I did this.

Loosely based on the world of Lady Cadaver (that other comic I wanna do about zombies) LOL-Head is a theme park mascot that got zombified as well as caught in a fairly nasty explosion, He's also based on my Baseball with the same face drawn on it, that people have taken to calling "LOL-BALL".

It seems that it was a good enough to design to warrant being put up as an example of "What we're looking for" on the DeviantDead Page.

Ah, good old non-sequiturs. Always good for a laugh.
I just realized that I haven't posted anything here in a long time. >_____>

Whee! Short story time! (I can do that here right?) Anywho, Im working on a few different characters at the moment, and I thought a story thing would go along well.

The general stood before the battlefield, stunned by what had happened. ?Perhaps if it hadn?t happened we wouldn?t still be here,? He mused. His tiny force of 100 men had held off a force of barbarians three times the size of his meager army. ?Hell,? he muttered to himself, ?to think 2 men could defeat so many.? He turned and returned to his camp, confident the battle was now over. Once he arrived he summoned a messenger boy to fetch the two men who had invaded the battlefield when all had seemed lost. A half-hour later the boy returned, the soldiers in question trailing behind him, the two stood silently as the boy left.
He studied them; clearly the two were opposites, one tall and strong, the other slender and elegant. He couldn?t place it, but one seemed feminine, though the hood he wore made it impossible to tell. ?Impossible,? he thought ?women are not permitted to be soldiers.? He spent a few minutes studying them, neither moved. The shorter wore a green kilt and a leather chest piece, red and green were the prominent colors portrayed in his clothing. The other stood in a dark black plate mail, ornate gold lines traced his form. Neither warrior had their weapons, but from what he had seen the shorter wielded a rapier and dagger and the larger a long sword and spear. Finally; ?Tell me your names,? the general said, ?and while you?re at it you can state your allegiances and why the hell you pulled a stunt like that.?
The shorter one removed his hood, ?Violletta,? she stated in an eloquent and icy tone, ?and this is my compatriot Raelstag.? Raelstag nodded as he heard his name. Violletta continued, ?We are lone warriors who happen to share a common enemy with you. Would you deny us the chance to travel with you??
The general stated, ?I would not turn down assistance from warriors of your caliber, certainly decimating an entire flank of such a horde is no small feat. However, I would know how a woman came to be a warrior of such talent. Will you tell me??
?I cannot,? she said, ?The secrets of my people must be protected against all costs.?
?I understand.? The general said, ?Though I would know the full extent of your abilities. A test will be derived. The two of you will be pitted against my top fighters, each in a test of skill in a personal match.? He continued, ?And what of you, Sir Raelstag, what are your loyalties??
Violetta spoke, ?Raelstag does not speak much, though I assure we are child hood friends and he would never abandon me. I cherish him more than any worldly possession, and there is no one I?d rather have by my side.?
?Very well,? said the general, ?come, the test shall start soon. Go and gather your weapons and meet me at the camp center in an hour.?

Part 2 to come when I finish Violetta

You can, but long time ago in a forum far, far away there existed a short story thread which was a bit better suited to such things than this one... Though I don't really know where that thread went or what became of it.
I think I can answer that question, chief. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/18.110578]

Should I move it then?

I posted the line art (ink) to this earlier (this page, I think), and I've since done some playing around with water color in Illustrator (a program I HATE, but need to learn). It's just conceptual and practice. :)

I think the wing on the ground is the mirror-image of what it needs to be...

Maybe that's why she's gone chop happy...? :D Bah! Dang. I know, actually. Where were you durring the penciling phase?

I drew and inked this in class, and durring break, disappeared for a drink. When I came back, I had stepped away for long enough to see my work in a new light. I noticed the problem, but it was inked and tooooo late. "Ah, FFFF[ruit]! (edited for your pleasure.)" and then I decided to just stick with it. I'm not going to be graded on anatomy, and don't have time to start over. Besides, it's going under a book cover, with portions of that chopped out to display portions of the image, so I can manipulate that.

Moral of my story is; take a break before beginning anything permenant on an image. :)

I was wondering what programs people are using for their pictures, as I do quite a bit of drawing with pen and pencil, but have been wanting to step it up, but didn't have an idea what program(s) to use. Also I will put some of mine up once I get my scanner working.

It's nothing super-special, but I've been trying to practice both my clothing folds and my insatiable urge to draw outfits on people. Special thanks goes to Diagonal Horizontality for being kind enough to provide me with the base stance for all of these outfits.

Most people here use photoshop or gimp. It really depends on what you specialize in, knowing what kind of art you'd turn out would help in selecting a program. I myself use Manga Studio or, more recently, Sketchbook Pro.

I use Paint Tool Sai for all my lines and colour, then flip to Photoshop for effects and text.
