You would do to have a little bit more contrast in the brown on the legs. Even a very thin line of a very light colour could improve the situation drastically. There's also something a little bit awkward about the way the light falls on the face but its not a big issue at all. Other than that, good work.Labyrinth said:So WIPs are the new thing. Just a pic of some sandworms getting murdered by a bunch of stickmen that I have dubbed The Monster Hunters. Will eventually be a small infrequent series on dA. Drawn by hand and colored and redrawn in Paint .NET.

I'm considering spray-painting a logo onto my epic new computer, but we still haven't gotten back to the case manufacturers, so it's kind of on hiatus. This was a trial design I made. Drawn with pencil on the back of some old paper.
This was a character who originally started as my persona on some message-boards years ago, as a halibut. Zapper was his name. Then I made him an electric eel because that was more awesome. I renamed him Zaphere and tried to write a novel for NaNoWriMo on him. I missed the deadline though. He's supposed to just be a total badass. I liked the lighting here with the lightning, though the hands are crap. Drawn in Gimp 2.6 with my Genius tablet.
Just a small sprite version of me, barely any effort made. Some of the best pixel art I've done though.

This is a vampire hunter named Sheridan Drogo who I originally made for an RPG. He's an ex-cop turned paranormal investigator, with a special vengeance against vampires who killed his partner. I'm showing this one because I think I did awesome on the gun. Drawn today in Gimp 2.6 with my Genius tablet.

After seeing this news post earlier today I've suddenly been inspired to create a series of game covers inspired by Penguin Books cover art. As I make them I'll be posting them in this thread over the next few days.
So far I'm planning on doing a cover for each one of my favorite games over the years. So far I'm planning on doing a cover for:
American McGee's Alice
The Longest Journey
Unreal Tournament
Black and White
Starcraft
Mass Effect
Team Fortress 2
Darwina
If you have any suggestions or requests, feel free to speak up. I can't guarantee I'll actually do anything with them, though.

I liked the transparent blues used in the lightning in the earlier version of the battle scene. I'd love to see you work those back into the picture. Other than that I'm loving the turnout. The rocks are looking great, I await another progress shot.
On the detail image. Sometimes it looks like parts of your drawings are done by completely different artists. Only on certain details, and I realize that a lot of it has to do with texture.
The angel thing's face looks a little squished in the final set of pictures but that could be on purpose. I personally would've extended it. The only other thing that I can see being an issue (again, unless done purposely) is gender ambiguity.
I like, particularly "Lydia". Has that Jet-Set-Radio future look to it. Colours are faint but accented by the contrast. I like the features the eyes and the lips. Good consistent style.Srsly said:

The angel squished face you mentioned, because he was a kid? Well, my style was influenced by Disney combine with anime, so it might be a little bit weird. The things with his gender was that angel are usually thought as such(or it was sexless I can't recall). But in this case he suppose to be male, but created to look like neither(No breast but have feminine face, masculine body but wider hip). This might looks disturbing but that's the point of this character, I want to know how everyone will react to this character. it's vital to the story that I working on.

The harbinger looks really valorous, kinda like a more sci-fi version of the classic knight. The lightning in his pics really works well, and the arcing in the new version looks a lot better than in the old one.
I'm not entirely sure if it's what you intended, but the angel guy looks pretty evil, and the harbinger fairly "good".

On another note, I apparently must've been brain-dead earlier. I fixed some major problems with previously posted old martial arts guy.
Changed torso length (Ugh... stupid me) and added more texturing.
